1 weekend, 4 states - Family Guide to UT, WY, ID, MT

As a family of 7, be sure to check out our road trip essentials HERE.

We hit the road last weekend determined to check off as many summer bucketlist items as we could and we totally pulled it off!

First stop, Bear Lake! We stayed at Oso Blu, the largest yurts in the west! They sleep 12 with a massive kitchen and bathroom, they are dog friendly and great for youth groups or family reunion. The kids loved playing in the yard with all the games and toys they have and the views are unbeatable.

We woke up and drove in to Idaho to visit the Ice Caves. This is an awesome place to explore because there is ice year around! It never melts! More info HERE.

And of course we had to stop at Bloomington Lake to do the rope swing! If you go to early in the summer, the roads are still impassable due to snow. August is usually save to visit. Bloomington Lake blog post HERE. More FREE  & FUN  family things to do in Bear Lake HERE.

Next we drove to Jackson Hole! We spent the day downtown shopping and exploring the city then drove to Victor, Idaho to check into the amazing Moose Creek Lodge (and yes we saw a moose in the creek while we were there), Code SALTPROJECT25 will get you 25% off you stay now thru Oct 2024

Next up we hit Grand Teton National Park. This is an absolute must!

More things to do in Jackson and Grand Tetons HERE. As well as more info on kid friendly ranch we stayed at.

Our kids LOVED checking out the geysers  and swimming in warm rivers. The next day we hit Yellowstone! Here are all the things we did on this trip.

HERE are more fun things to do in West Yellowstone with kids.

We ended the trip with a visit to Yellowstone Bear World, normally $149 for our family, but it was FREE with our Get Out Pass! Use code SALT for a HUGE discount and FREE passes for your family to over 100 venues and museums across Utah and Idaho!
