Stephanie continues her Road Trippin' Series! We had just arrived in Cedar City after the long drive from up north and we needed to stretch our legs. I saw a road sign for the Homestead and thought I would check it out. There is a small museum that we explored in about 15 minutes, then we went outside and let the kids run crazy! They could have done laundry and played school all day. There are classes availabe on the weekends for spinning and weaving. Sadly, we were there during the week. They also loved mining for gold and and

After exploring the Frontier Homestead, we were starving! We jumped in the car and headed across the street. They had me at the big red roof. It had a small town feel and I was sure the food would be fabulous. I was right! Juicy burger, amazing fries and I couldn't resist the fried mushrooms. They didn't disappoint. Since we were on vacay, I let the kids order chocolate shakes to dip our fries in, but Brads has killer fry sauce, so if you don't like your fries in your shake, they have you covered. Roadtrippin' to Southern Utah this weekend?! Make sure to check these guys out everytime you head down south. After hiking around in Iron County all day the kids were famished. Apparently they were getting sick of trail mix and granola bars, so we promised them fresh hot pizza. As parents that needed to eat too, this meant finding a good pizza place. After asking around and getting advice from a few of the local Cedar City folks we found the The Pizza Cart. Having never tasted their food yet, we looked into them and were instantly in love before ever

Cedar City is all about the pioneers. My husband's family was one of the early settlers. Let's just say, they've been there a while. Cedar City really is one of my favorite places. Cedar City is known as the Festival City, and besides having all sorts of stuff to do in town, it's also so close to so MANY other amazing places. Zion National Park, Cedar Breaks, Old Iron Town, Pine Valley are just a few amazing places just an hour away. I love that you can go from the red rocks to the pine tree forest in minutes. We've

We've got a few hikes for you. Harmony and Melinda lived in Cedar City during college and seemed to hike a lot more than they do now! These are some of our favorite spots. Some are popular, some are only known to the locals. Some hikes are for older kids, like teenagers, while some can be all ages. We hope that you'll try them out! Red Cliffs Nature Trail | Red Cliffs near St. George. (All Ages) It's not really as scary as the picture looks. But it makes it look super cool right? This lovely hike is just a
