Bridal Veil Falls & River Walk

This is an awesome 15 minute paved trail, perfect for bikes, strollers, and skateboards and ends with a 607-foot-tall double cataract waterfall in the south end of Provo Canyon. If you just want to see Bridal Veil Falls, you have a couple options. You can pull right up and get photos from your vehicle at the look out point. You can park right next to the falls, walk across the bridge and you're there! Or you can start at the first parking lot (our recommendation) and walk 15 minutes along the paved trail that runs along the raging river. Once

Slot Canyon off of Burr Trail

We're continuing our tour of central-southern Utah. Is that how one even describes it? Or maybe Garfield County? Whenever I say I went to Boulder, people always ask if it's Colorado. I guess I didn't even know there was a town named Boulder in Utah either. If you have a chance, drive through the Boulder Mountains. All of a sudden in you are in a green, forested area surrounded by dry desert far below you. Seriously, it was amazing. Boulder is a cute little town with a few different diners and places to stay and eat. We didn't stay, but

Lake Powell With Kids

Lake Powell is amazing. Lake Powell with kids is amazing and entertaining. Lets face it, you go on a vacation without the kids and all you can think about is how much fun they would be having if you had brought them, or everything you do and see, you're think about how much the kids would love to see it or be doing it too. We've all been there. Now I'm not saying to never leave the kids home, I'm just saying that traveling with kids, seeing the world through their eyes is pretty amazing and I never regret bringing

Friday Night at Causey Reservoir | Adventurin'

Is it just me complaining about the heat? I feel like the last two weeks I've just hunkered down inside, next to my AC. The mornings/evenings don't seem to be any cooler, which just adds to my complaints. Luckily, we do have AC, so I am grateful for that. I just keep thinking back to a few months ago, when I didn't mind being out at 5 pm at Causey Reservoir. (This post is from earlier this summer, I've heard that right now, Causey is 15 feet below the waterline.) (Check out this MilosTees shop! They've got some super cool

Hanging out on the Ogden River | Adventurin'

***UPDATE*** I went a few weeks after this original post and noticed that the water was way higher than it was earlier in the summer. It was odd, since water usually goes down during the summer. I've heard that they drain some of the reserves and that might have made it go higher and faster. So I do admit, now it's not quite as toddler friendly. ............ We've been kind of quiet for a few days. Seems like when July hits, it hits hard right! So many fun things to do. One of our newest favorite place to go is

The most charming town North of Salt Lake City : Mantua | Nomad Paddle

The most charming town North of Salt Lake City could quite possibly be Mantua (man-o-way). It's nestled into the canyon between Brigham City and Logan. I've driven by dozens of times and always wanted to stop. You can see the reservoir from the canyon road. The houses are charming and it looks like a scene straight out of a movie. Word on the street is that to live there you have to be voted in. Could be a rumor, but that's just what I heard. The cottonwood was drifting around like snow in June! When you pull up to the
