When you aren't ready to give up summer head to Causey

Summer, we just aren't ready for you to be over quite yet. So we grabbed some of Gear:30's SUP boards and headed to Causey. If you've been following us for a while, you know that we love Causey. We've written about it every year. Causey is one of those perfect places to go swimming, cliff jumping, camping, hiking, fishing, canoeing....there's even a Boy Scout Camp up by Causey. You can do almost anything at Causey, as long as it's not motorized. (Well, you can take little fishing boat with tiny motors, but that's about it.) Be sure to always bring

Is it just me complaining about the heat? I feel like the last two weeks I've just hunkered down inside, next to my AC. The mornings/evenings don't seem to be any cooler, which just adds to my complaints. Luckily, we do have AC, so I am grateful for that. I just keep thinking back to a few months ago, when I didn't mind being out at 5 pm at Causey Reservoir. (This post is from earlier this summer, I've heard that right now, Causey is 15 feet below the waterline.) (Check out this MilosTees shop! They've got some super cool

The most charming town North of Salt Lake City : Mantua | Nomad Paddle

The most charming town North of Salt Lake City could quite possibly be Mantua (man-o-way). It's nestled into the canyon between Brigham City and Logan. I've driven by dozens of times and always wanted to stop. You can see the reservoir from the canyon road. The houses are charming and it looks like a scene straight out of a movie. Word on the street is that to live there you have to be voted in. Could be a rumor, but that's just what I heard. The cottonwood was drifting around like snow in June! When you pull up to the

Sometimes, I think, "my kids are too little to do some stuff." Like paddle boarding. While I've been paddle boarding a whole single time, I've always been too afraid to take the kids. Especially without their dad. He's basically a fish swimming in the water. I'm more of a log. I also made the last-minute decision to bring my dog. How would this all end? I didn't know. Luckily, the kids like their Auntie Hali. We decided to go and hope for the best. The paddle boards are inflatable so the kids had some time to get used to the

Just like that, the summer is OVER! WHAT?! All these back to school photos really seals the deal. Don't worry, just because summer is over, doesn't mean you can't have amazing weekend or after school adventures. This last weekend, we planned a last minute camping trip. We went up early on Friday and then the working folk drove up after work. It was a weekend of firsts for sure. For Stephanie, it was her first time camping in Utah with her kids, for us, it was the second time we've been camping with the #ohniceandchubbybabies, but first time with little
