South Ogden Nature Park Splash Pad & Park
harm
23 June 2018
South Ogden Nature Park Splash Pad & Park is one of my favorites places to visit to beat the heat. If you've been following along on stories, you've seen me hit this park up a few times in the past couple weeks. I think I like it because it has a big kid park and then a small kid park right next to the Splash Pad. I also don't feel like it's SUPER busy, but then again, I'm a get-there-right-when-everything-opens to help beat the crowds. Which means it might be a little cooler outside, but I feel like kids don't
Benson Grist Mill | Farmers Market
harm
6 September 2017
During the summer and fall I try to buy our produce from local farmers markets. Tooele County has a handful of small markets and my favorite one is located at the Benson Grist Mill. My toddler loves to comes along with me so we often make an outing of it. We bring a list of the produce we want for the upcoming week. My son loves helping me find the fruits and veggies we need. He is much more willing to eat the veggies he helped pick out! We always grab a couple extra pieces of fruit to have as
Visit Kid Row at Craft Lake City | 9th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival
harm
26 August 2017
The other weekend we headed to craft lake city as a family! Normally we attend the event as a date night without the kids but this year Craft Lake city hosted a special Kid Row...so we couldn't resist taking hem too and checking it out. Our kids loved going to such a "grown up" feeling event. Once we got to Kid Row, their eyes lit up when they saw the bounce house and face painting! Along one side of the kids corner were these cute little booths run by kids. All ages of kids were selling anything from homemade buttons
Fitts Park in South Salt Lake
harm
14 August 2017
Summer's not over yet! There's still time to visit new parks and have new adventures before sending the littles back to school! Why not try Fitts Park, in South Salt Lake? I visited this park a few days ago with my kids, and we LOVED it! First of all, who out there has heard of South Salt Lake? Did you know it's its own city, separate from Salt Lake City? Fun fact #1. South Salt Lake also used to be called Central Park, a long, long time ago, when it was first established as a town. Fun fact #2 (thanks
Fairbourne Station Promenade Splash Pad
harm
31 July 2017
We love spending hot, summer days at the Fairbourne Station promenade and Splash pad! There is a trax station located right next to the promenade. The 4-acre park like area is also located behind West Valley City hall and just North of the West Valley Library. The area includes a pavilion with a tall shade structure, walkways, bridges, a fountain and a stream that serves as a splash pad. I find that my kiddos (ages 3 and 1) tend to prefer stream-like splash pads. Rather than being sprayed with water they are able to dip their toes and determine for
Hiking Lakes Mary, Martha, and Catherine with Toddlers
harm
31 July 2017
Hiking to the Brighton Lakes has always been on my list of "someday" hikes. A friend once mentioned the trail to Lake Mary was pretty steep, basically hiking up a ski slope, so I figured I'd conquer it one day when I didn't have to also wear my 30lb threenager on my back. When hiking to Cecret Lake a couple of weeks back, another friend had just hiked to all three of Brighton's lakes; Mary, Martha and Catherine, and she claimed that it wasn't has difficult as the rocky part of the Cecret Lake trail, just longer at about 4.5
Palisade Park Splash Pad | Orem City's First Splash Pad is now open!
harm
26 July 2017
The first splash pad in Orem is now open! The official ribbon-cutting ceremony was Tuesday. We have been frequenting splash pads this summer, especially with how hot it has been, and this is one of our favorites so far! There are shade structures, rock seats, and and several nozzles that spray and shut off on a repeating program. My 18-month old loved running through the shallow rivers! The splash pad is located in Palisade park- right next to a playground, covered pavilion, and snack shack. According to a city spokesman, the design of the splash pad reflects the surrounding area
Ellison Park Splash Pad | Layton

21 June 2017
Our bigger kids love the splash pad because of its raised platform. Rather than just spraying water the pad features a small playground structure that the kids can climb on and best of all a small water slide. The slide has padding at the bottom for the kids to land on so they don't get scraped up. There is nothing better to a kid in the summertime than a water slide! Some of my younger kids prefer to stick to the ground and love running through the various spraying elements and shooting people with the water guns. Up on the

harm

Have you been to Antelope Island yet? Yes? Well, have you been during a moonlight night sky? What about biking? Because The Salt Project is super excited to let you know about Davis County's Antelope by Moonlight Bike (Non-competitive) Race! This year's theme is "The Dark Side of The Moon." The ride starts July 7, 2017 at 10pm at White Rock Bay and is lit by the full moon. How cool is that? The 24 mile route goes from White Rock Bay to the historic Fielding Garr Ranch and back. It's a fairly easy going ride and everyone is decked
