Elf the Musical at Tuacahn Amphitheatre
harm
2 December 2019
We were in Southern Utah for Thanksgiving Break, and was able to kick-off Christmas by viewing of Elf the Musical at Tuacahn Amphitheatre! Elf The Musical is now playing at the newly renovated Hafen Theatre (their indoor theatre) at Tuacahn! You know The Salt Project loves Tuacahn! We were super excited to hear that they had Christmas shows! All the kids (and cousins) had just watched Elf the movie a few days ago. I'll admit, I was a little hesitant. Don't hate me, but I've only seen Elf the movie once and didn't care for it much. But I LOVE

We had a spare minute and found ourselves about 20 minutes away from St. George and 20 minutes away from sunset. So we headed straight to The Crack! This is our favorite fast adventure and it just isn't a visit to St. George without conquering The Crack. We've never hiked it in the dark before. It was dusk, but the crack its self was super dark. It is definitely harder in the dark, so I don't recommend it if you are hiking for the first time. This is looking down from the top. We just love that red rock. And
Gunlock Falls | Gunlock State Park
harm
12 June 2019
Gunlock State Park or Gunlock Falls as it known this year is PHENOMENAL! We had just finished our Girl's Trip at Red Mountain Resort and knew we had to take the long way home so we could see Gunlock Falls. When we came around the bend and saw how HUGE the falls were we all "OOOOOOOOh and AWWWWW!" Gunlock State Park is normal a small reservoir with NO falls, except once in every few years. I think I heard that the last time the falls were running was 12 years ago. So you've GOT to put the falls on your
Girl's Weekend Getaway with Red Mountain Resort!
harm
10 June 2019
Red Mountain Resort is tucked away in Southern Utah, near St. George in Ivins Utah. It's literally the last thing between you and Snow Canyon State Park. They own acres of desert that are right next to Snow Canyon State Park, so their views will LITERALLY never change. Red Mountain Resort is beautiful in every way. It wasn't what I was expecting and it was SO much more! We haven't done a Girl's Trip on The Salt Project ever. Never once. I'm still kind of blown away by this fact! So when Red Mountain Resort reached out about a partnership

Tuacahn Amphitheatre has long been on The Salt Project Bucket List! It seems like we are always visiting during the off-season but we finally made it during our Girl's Trip to Red Mountain Resort! We actually visited Tuacahn TWICE in one day! When we found out there was a Saturday Market on Saturday at Tuacahn Amphitheatre we decided to bike the 1.5 miles out there from Red Mountain Resort! Stephanie had serious reservations about biking in the middle of the day in St. George. (With good reason.) Luckily, it ended up being the perfect temperature that day and we made
The Amazing Waterfalls of Gunlock State Park
harm
13 March 2019
Gunlock State Park is located in the tiny southern Utah town of Gunlock, about 35 minutes northwest of St. George, Utah. While the Gunlock Reservoir usually has plenty of water to make all of your recreation dreams come true, the falls only exist when perfect weather conditions allow. Most days the area is just a lackluster pile of dusty sand and rocks. Several years can pass between showings of the waterfalls; but when the stars align, the heavens open, and the dam overfloweth, the waterworks begin. So grab yo kids, grab yo wife, and grab yo husband, because everyone’s gonna
ATV & Jeep Adventure Tours | St. George

This trip was EPIC. I’ve been one a few ATV/RZR rides before, but riding in sand dunes is SOMETHING ELSE entirely. We were able to go on the 3 Hour Spring/Fall Sunset Adventure, which takes you through Sand Hollow State Park and the Mojave Desert. Sand Hollow State Park is a beauty in itself and you should definitely add swimming to your bucket list. Bill, our guide, had everything all set up for us. We literally showed up and he outfitted us in all the necessary things. We did bring our own car seats for the kids, just to be

Have you been to Thunder Junction All Abilites Park in St. George?! It's AMAZING! We went a few years ago (see the post here) but we went again because it was so close to our hotel. This time the kids were a little older and able to do so much more on their own. We really loved that the Splash Pad was still open and the TRAIN WAS OPEN! This park is Epic. From the smoking volcano, to the train rides, to the dinosaurs and slides, we really loved Thunder Junction All Abilities Park! If you go, be sure to
Johnson Canyon and Arch | Snow Canyon State Park
harm
17 November 2018
Johnson’s Canyon Hike is only open from September 15-March 14th. Since we happened to be in Snow Canyon in November, I knew we had to do this hike. And because I have super awesome listening skills (severe sarcasm here) I thought this whole time I was going to take my kids to a cave. Boy, I was very wrong. Johnson Canyon leads to a beautiful canyon and an arch, so not a cave. HAHA. The hike started like any hike, except this time my daughter informed us that she needed to go to the bathroom, after we had just stopped
