Feature Friday | Megan Bowen | Candy Everything

I first met Megan at the Bijou Market last year as a vendor. Her display was amazing, all the bright colors totally drew me in. I think she was the first gal I was brave enough to ask if she wanted to trade, which, luckily, she did! I brought home some of her candy deer, and honestly, I never ate them, I have them as decoration in my house instead. They are that pretty! Of course, I chose orange. Isn't it stunning? So without further adieu, here's the lovely Megan. Hello! I live in downtown Salt Lake with my husband

Feature Friday | Susan Stange Design

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! We at the Salt Project love to support our fellow Utahns. Especially, when they make such adorable items! Susan from Susan Stange Design makes these plaid tunics, which she made for our girls. (She's having a sale this weekend too!) Honestly, look how adorable little Ellis looks. The plaid totally compliments her tiny Scottish self and family! Seriously, I've always wished I had some sewing skills. Now, I don't even need them with Susan around. These tunics are solid too, from the buttons to the perfect stitching, plus, look at those elbow patches

Salt Lake City Library

The Salt Project was in Salt Lake City last week! We had just gone through The Leonardo Museum (it's mind blowing, check it out here.) and then headed over to the Salt Lake Library. The library itself it kind of spectacular. The architecture is unlike anything else in Utah. Before heading in, we sat the kids outside in the Amphitheater to eat lunch. Luckily, it was a slightly warmed day, almost in the 50s. (Hot dang right?) How cute are their little backpacks? We have some big plans for these bags that may or may not include an awesome giveaway

We interrupt your night to tell you about this AWESOME deal from Little Treetops on Zulily today! This "You are my Sunshine" shirt set is normally $30 on their Etsy shop, but on Zulily it's on $19.99! Harmony and Orion own one of their "Where the Wild Things Are" Mommy and Me sets and she LOVES them. It's the perfect length and just the right tightness. Plus, it's the tee is ultra soft and Orion looks quite handsome in his onesie! The Salt Project loves to support local companies and LittleTreeTops is a Utah family owned business. Their family moved

Get Away Today

There are those who love Disneyland and then there are THOSE who LOVE Disneyland. My entire family happens to be in the latter. Yeah, Yeah, I know there are those of you who think we are all weirdos, but it's because you haven't been lately, or ever. My gram's took my mom the opening year and almost every year after. It's in my Asian blood people. They aren't lying on those Disney commercials. There is a magic there. It's not even the rides (although they are super fun) it's just being there, the Happiest Place on Earth. No small detail
