Thunder Junction All Abilities Park Video

Have you been to Thunder Junction All Abilites Park in St. George?! It's AMAZING! We went a few years ago (see the post here) but we went again because it was so close to our hotel. This time the kids were a little older and able to do so much more on their own. We really loved that the Splash Pad was still open and the TRAIN WAS OPEN! This park is Epic. From the smoking volcano, to the train rides, to the dinosaurs and slides, we really loved Thunder Junction All Abilities Park! If you go, be sure to

Vineyard's Sports Park and Splash Pad

Lisel is here to tell us all about the newest park and splash pad in Vineyard Utah! Summer is winding down, but there are still plenty of hot days ahead! We went to check out the new Vineyard splash pad and it was awesome! It is the largest splash pad in Utah County on 18 acres of land. On this land there is also bike trails, pickle ball and tennis courts, a soccer field, basketball hoops, a pavilion, zip lines, and a ropes course style playground. Our favorite part about this splash pad was the slide! Olive, my toddler, went
Rotary Play Park at Liberty Park harm Fri, 07/20/2018 - 20:18
Liberty Park is the oldest park in Salt Lake City. It also has the bragging rights of being the second largest park in the city, at eighty acres. Liberty Park has the space to support many different activities and events. There are walking/jogging trails, picnic areas, tennis courts, a swimming pool, horseshoes, seasonal amusement rides, farmers market, concession stand, basketball courts, tennis courts, a pond, paddle boats available to rent and playgrounds. It is also home to the Tracy Aviary. (We've written a few times about it) We know many of you are looking for ways to beat the heat
Sandy Amphitheater Splash Park harm Thu, 07/05/2018 - 21:42
Alex is here to tell us about her favorite Splash Pad! My boys and I have been exploring local splash parks to try and figure out which one is our favorite. Right now, it's the one at the Sandy Amphitheater! The fact that it's the closest to our home is just an added bonus, but we love that the city of Sandy really made an effort to provide some shade during the hot summer months both for the kids playing in the water and the parents sitting down to watch. There are a few awnings that shade some sitting areas
South Ogden Nature Park Splash Pad & Park harm Sat, 06/23/2018 - 22:06
South Ogden Nature Park Splash Pad & Park is one of my favorites places to visit to beat the heat. If you've been following along on stories, you've seen me hit this park up a few times in the past couple weeks. I think I like it because it has a big kid park and then a small kid park right next to the Splash Pad. I also don't feel like it's SUPER busy, but then again, I'm a get-there-right-when-everything-opens to help beat the crowds. Which means it might be a little cooler outside, but I feel like kids don't
Gateway Splash Pad harm Sat, 06/23/2018 - 21:18
While parts of the Gateway may be empty, you can always find people at the Splash Pad! After we visited the Hall of Breakfast, we let the kids run amok through the splash pad. It was a super hot day, so I’m all for water activities. The splash pad is awesome because it’s always shooting out a good amount of water and since we don’t know the pattern it’s always a surprise when it’s going to go off. There isn’t a whole bunch of natural shade, but there are lots of nice chairs and umbrellas provided for you. The grass

Fairbourne Station Promenade Splash Pad

We love spending hot, summer days at the Fairbourne Station promenade and Splash pad! There is a trax station located right next to the promenade. The 4-acre park like area is also located behind West Valley City hall and just North of the West Valley Library. The area includes a pavilion with a tall shade structure, walkways, bridges, a fountain and a stream that serves as a splash pad. I find that my kiddos (ages 3 and 1) tend to prefer stream-like splash pads. Rather than being sprayed with water they are able to dip their toes and determine for
Palisade Park Splash Pad | Orem City's First Splash Pad is now open! harm Wed, 07/26/2017 - 09:37
The first splash pad in Orem is now open! The official ribbon-cutting ceremony was Tuesday. We have been frequenting splash pads this summer, especially with how hot it has been, and this is one of our favorites so far! There are shade structures, rock seats, and and several nozzles that spray and shut off on a repeating program. My 18-month old loved running through the shallow rivers! The splash pad is located in Palisade park- right next to a playground, covered pavilion, and snack shack. According to a city spokesman, the design of the splash pad reflects the surrounding area
The Orchard | University Place | Park Guide harm Thu, 07/06/2017 - 16:08
I recently was down in Orem, UT doing some shopping at University Place when I stumbled upon their new community park, The Orchard. Located near the North entrance of the shopping center, this outdoor park hosts monthly events for the whole family!
