Midway Ice Castles

A few weeks ago, we were able to visit the Ice Castles of Midway at the Homestead Resort! I was super excited, as it was my first time visiting! I went straight to The Salt Project's past Ice Castle articles to see what I needed to bring. (We've pulled some of our past photos, as we went at night. It's a little difficult to capture the ice castles at night especially with kids! Every year the ice castles are different, but this year they are just as lovely. This was our second year visiting the Midway Ice Castles. It's quite the sight to behold. Our kids look forward it our visit each time and talk about it for weeks after. If you are thinking about it, DO IT! You won't regret it! We wanted to share 5 Tips for a visit to the Midway Ice Castles! #1 No Strollers Allowed If you have littles that might get tired, or cold, consider bringing a sled with a rope to drag around, or use a carrier so you can keep your hands free for picture taking and holding hot cocoa

We went to the Ice Castle on the most amazing day! The snow was falling lightly the entire time we were there. As if the Ice Castle wasn't magical enough on its own, the snow just pushed it over the top. Catching snowflakes! Utah is known for having "The Greatest Snow on Earth"...well it has some pretty spectacular ice to boot. :) The sweet city of Midway is where you'll find the Ice Castles! New ice sculptures are built up annually--giving a new experience each year with bigger and more unique features than the last.
