Sleepy Hollow Wagon Ride Coupon

The Sleepy Hollow wagon ride has been on my list of things to do for a couple years now. I'm not a big fan of haunted houses and my crew is still a bit young for that sort of thing but we still wanted to do something spooky this year that the whole family could enjoy. You guys, this is it! Just the right amount of spook mixed with a thrilling experience that is super unique. The horse drawn wagon is just the right amount of bumpy on the dirt path as you wind around Midways Soldier Hollow while listening

Homestead Resort | Midway Staycation

This past weekend, The Salt Project was lucky enough to be hosted by the Homestead Resort in Midway for a quick Staycation. We went up mainly for the Ice Castles and Homestead Resort, but you know we had to hit as many places as possible. All of which we’ll write about in the next few days. The Homestead Resort is one of the most charming places to stay, probably, because it’s an amazing historic area. The homestead opened over 125 years ago and it makes one feel like you've stepped back into time. Not only is the main building beautiful
Sleepy Hollow Wagon Ride | 5 Ways to get Spooked for Halloween! harm Wed, 10/11/2017 - 22:31
(Photos above from KSL Deals) October means hayrides, pumpkin patches and getting spooked! I love a good scare every now and then but I don’t love the gruesome gory stuff! I’m a big fan of the old ghost stories and legends, ones that have been told around fires for over a 100 years! One of my favorite ghost stories has always been The Legend of Sleepy Hollow written by Washington Irving. I was so excited to discover Utah has its very own Sleepy Hollow during the month of October! Thanks to Rocky Mountain Outfitters in Midway you can take a

Snake Creek Grill | Grubbin'

After working up an appetite exploring the Midway Ice Castles, we were starving! I've wanted to eat in this cute little place for years! It looks like an old ghost town, or a western town from a movie, but there are shops and restaurants in the old buildings! This is a photo of Snake Creek Grill while they were filming a movie on location once. All of the old buildings here were brought here years ago from Idaho, and the owner of Snake Creek Grill said they have been there for 19 years! Pretty amazing! They had some pretty fancy

Midway Ice Castles | 5 First Timer Tips

This was our second year visiting the Midway Ice Castles. It's quite the sight to behold. Our kids look forward it our visit each time and talk about it for weeks after. If you are thinking about it, DO IT! You won't regret it! We wanted to share 5 Tips for a visit to the Midway Ice Castles! #1 No Strollers Allowed If you have littles that might get tired, or cold, consider bringing a sled with a rope to drag around, or use a carrier so you can keep your hands free for picture taking and holding hot cocoa

Dairy Keen | Grubbin'

We only make in to Midway and Heber City a couple times a year and one of our stops is always Dairy Keen. This family owned Utah business has THE BEST burgers and shakes in the area. The place is always busy and the service is fast. We have never had to wait more than a few minutes for our food. After you place your order you can go find a seat and they buzz you when your food is ready. They also have one of those fancy drink machines so the possibilities are endless for drink mixes. And the

Huber Grove Apple Picking

Fall is in the air and what better way to kick off the autumn season than with apple picking? I'm a serious sucker for all things fall related (football, gorgeous color-changing leaves, cooler temperatures, sweaters, boots, etc.), but especially the glorious harvest that this good earth has to offer. I'd heard about Huber Grove in Midway, Utah, last autumn, when my husband and I started learning about heirloom apples and how many hundreds and thousands (yes, thousands) of apple varieties exist throughout the world. Not just your standard Granny Smith, Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Gala, etc. While researching U-pick apple

Midway Ice Castles | Adventurin'

We went to the Ice Castle on the most amazing day! The snow was falling lightly the entire time we were there. As if the Ice Castle wasn't magical enough on its own, the snow just pushed it over the top. Catching snowflakes! Checking out the tiny Fairy Elsa Castle (located at the very back of the Ice Castle) Even the line to the ice slide was magical, a little tunnel and a twisty path to the tippy top! This is at the top looking down. Every "big" family event I try to take a Polaroid. There is just something
