Rotary Play Park at Liberty Park

Liberty Park is the oldest park in Salt Lake City. It also has the bragging rights of being the second largest park in the city, at eighty acres. Liberty Park has the space to support many different activities and events. There are walking/jogging trails, picnic areas, tennis courts, a swimming pool, horseshoes, seasonal amusement rides, farmers market, concession stand, basketball courts, tennis courts, a pond, paddle boats available to rent and playgrounds. It is also home to the Tracy Aviary. (We've written a few times about it) We know many of you are looking for ways to beat the heat

Giveaway | Tracy Aviary | First Timer Visit

I took my younger two kids to the Tracy Aviary for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised by the deceptively large aviary found on the southwest corner of Liberty Park's 8-acres. First thing I noticed, accessible parking. There is a separate parking lot for the Tracy Aviary so you don't have to park along the narrow loop of Liberty Park. Family Volunteer Fun at the Tracy Aviary!

Think about the last time you volunteered your talents or time to an important cause. How did volunteering make you feel? We all lead busy lives and if you are a regular Salt Project reader you probably also like to spend any free time you have adventuring and exploring where you live. But, just because we are all busy, doesn’t mean we can’t find time to volunteer. What if we told you that you could volunteer locally at some of the same places you already like to spend your free time? All it takes is a little initiative and some

Video | Little Chicks at Tracy Aviary

Hello! Things have been pretty quiet here on The Salt Project...mainly because it's our Birthday! Get ready, we're going to have lots and lots of stuff to giveaway. So be sure to watch our feed NEXT WEEK! In the meantime, here's a video that I put together from a few weeks ago. The Salt Project was able to attend Little Chicks (which you can register for now!) at Tracy Aviary. When we found out they had classes for 2-5 years olds we jumped right on it! My kids always seem to be just too young for classes, so I was

Puppies For Rent Meet-up | Adventurin' | Liberty Park

Last week was our Puppies for Rent Meet-Up at Liberty Park. Thank you to all of you who came. It was a pretty evening with picnics, cupcakes, bubbles and of course puppies! We were super excited to team up with Puppies for Rent in Downtown SLC and sold (FREE) over 200 tickets. We had no idea you all loved puppies that much! Liberty Park was just lovely that day. The Salt Project needs to spend a little bit more time in that park. Thanks to Heaven Cupcakes for providing some delicious treats for everyone. What makes Heaven Cupcakes shop so
