Butterfly Biosphere | Thanksgiving Point

The Butterfly Biosphere is the newest venue at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi. It’s 40,000 square feet which houses thousands of butterflies from around the world. In addition to butterflies you can find different species of other creepy crawly friends. My kiddos loved the photo opportunity just past the main entrance which allows you to pose like a bug inside a giant jar. The Butterfly biosphere features a Conservatory, a Costa Rica Climber play area and a Discovery Zone. Upon entering the biosphere you’ll find yourself in the Discovery Zone, this area has educational exhibits and is an insectarium where you

True North Axe Throwing | Lehi

Clay and Rich (cousins) opened True North Axe Throwing just a few short weeks ago. We are so glad they did. If you are ever looking for a group activity, gathering, reunion, birthday party, date night, guys night out or even a ladies night out - this is the place to be! Within the hour time slot you sign up for, you are given a quick axe throwing lesson and time to practice before you start a round robin tournament. We even had time at the end to practice the fireman’s axe (which I hit the mark on my first

Murdock Canal Trail Tour | Adventurin' | Lindon

The Weather is good, school is out and I know we are all looking for fun things to fill our days with! I personally love being outside, especially with my kids! During the summer we all feel better and treat each other better if we go outside, it must be all that vitamin D we are getting! Some of our favorite pastimes are hiking, biking, picnics and parks! Well, I have the perfect suggestion that encompasses all of those things and more! Bonus, its free! In Utah Valley the Murdock Canal Trail runs for 17 miles from Lehi to Orem

4 Reasons We Loved Visting The Tulip Festival | Thanksgiving Point

Every spring it seems like all anyone can talk about is Thanksgiving Point’s Tulip festival. Our neighbors take their grandkids every year and always come back with raving reviews. So when we were invited to go on behalf of the Salt Project this year, we said yes immediately! First thing you need to know about the Tulip Festival is that it is HUGE. We’re talking 280,000 tulips! And, fun fact, they’re all imported directly from Holland! It really is a sight to behold! I won’t spoil the whole event for you, because you really need to just go see it

Funtopia | Field Trippin'

I found a Groupon for a new ‘kid-friendly’ rock climbing place in Lehi, Utah. The sessions come in one-hour increments (additional hours can be purchased for $5) and it seemed like the perfect way to burn some energy indoors. The price was reasonable, so I went ahead and purchased. I was over the top impressed with Funtopia. The one-hour session was just enough time for my kids to bounce from one rock climbing wall to the other. They climbed a giraffe, castle, dinosaur, spider web netting and they also climbed up a tower to jump towards a trapeze. Funtopia also

Luminaria | Thanksgiving Point

I have this thing for Christmas lights. I know many of us do, but I love them with all my heart. Nothing makes me happier that seeing colors on the dark and cold nights of winter. Usually, I'm a get-them-up-the-day-after-Thanksgiving girl. But between being pregnant and moving/remodeling...it's suddenly on the back burner. We didn't get them up the day after like usual, but we are slowly getting some of our Christmas stuff out to be more festive. I also wanted to start out December right with my little family. We were planning on going to the Ogden Opening with the

Culver's | Grubbin'

After our trip to Thanksgiving Point, we were starving. I'm a sucker for burger and fries, add in frozen custard and I'm SO THERE! I had never been to Culver's before, and y'all know how I love trying new places. These guys are huge in the midwest, and each location is locally owned. Kasey, the owner on the Lehi store, was there to take our order and you guys, he was so incredibly sweet! And THIS is why I love locally owned businesses. I LOVE meeting the owners, I love to see the LOVE they have for their business and

Museum of Natural Curiosity | Thanksgiving Point

This is hands down, my kids favorite museum. You can see why below. The hands on, super kid friendly, run crazy and wild museum is really perfect for all ages. And you better believe I get in on the action too. I need one of those elastic jungle gyms in my house! I don't think I have ever laughed so hard. (Check out The Salt Project's past posts.) We went to check out their new exhibit Geometry Playground. We enjoyed working and playing with shapes and seeing how they work together and the kids loved the playground. After exploring inside
