Hike Spring Creek Canyon | Kanarraville | Southern Utah
harm
2 June 2016
It was Memorial Weekend and I knew all the world would be down in Southern Utah hiking all my favorite hikes. I actually REALLY wanted to hike Hidden Canyon in Zion National Park (I've never done it.) Apparently, there were going to be record amounts of visitors. So, we checked around for new hikes and I found this one in Kanarraville. Now this hike shouldn't be confused with Kanarraville Falls hike. Spring Creek is actually a slot canyon hike south of town and has similar aspects, all except the ever awesome rock waterslide. Since we've hiked Kanarraville Falls many times

This is one hike everyone should/could do in their life at least once. We've hiked with kids from ages 1-12 on this hike, so we know if can be done for all ages! The trail starts out long, steep and hot but once you get pass the dirt road and up to the water tower there is more shade cover, you start hiking alongside the creek, and the scenery becomes much more exciting. Be sure to wear shoes that you can get wet. You can't really avoid it. My favorite part of the hike is when you enter the canyon

If you had half a day in Zion National Park...what would you do? Even with the snow on the ground, there is still plenty of hiking to be done! I found myself asking that question on Halloween Day. We were down visiting family and really wanted to visit Zion. My husband and I hadn't been to the main entrance of the park for years and years, so we felt it was the perfect time to go since it wasn't blazing hot. We thought it was going to be cold, so we all packed long sleeves and jackets. Luckily, it ended

When you go to Southern Utah, you have to go on at least one hike while you are there, it is a rule I think. Those red rock mountains are just too beautiful to pass by without making a stop. Having gone to college in Cedar City, we’ve done tons of hiking around the area and the Kanarraville Falls hike was always a good one. I love Angel’s Landing and The Subway and some of the big ones in Zion National Park, but this one is a little shorter and less of an undertaking with kids in tow, is just
