Silver Lake Trail at Brighton

Silver Lake has been on my list for so long, but we just never get to each year before the snow comes. This year we made it a priority and I'm so glad we did. We went on a Sunday, which I never recommend doing by the way. We usually try to get out during the week to avoid crowds and now I remember why. But, even though it was a weekend and the most incredibly beautiful day, it was still worth it, and the crowds really weren't that bad. We had ages 2-64 and this really was the perfect

Epic PROVO Bucket list

Utah County has been on our bucket list for years! We alway pass by but we have never made it a destination to stay and explore. I'm SO glad we finally made it down to explore. First off, we have to say that Provo exceeded all expectations. The small town charm, creativity, and endless number of places to eat and things to do, it would take weeks to fit it all in. We have compiled a list with the BEST OF THE BEST that Utah County has to offer. Now, remember, we only stayed for a weekend, and you can

2019 Goals: Donate Kidney, Hike Angels landing

I love the beginning of a new year. I love sitting down and making sure my priorities are in order, setting goals, and planning out our year. This year at the top of my list are two things that are going to be super hard for me physically. 1st on the agenda is to hike Angels Landing! I hiked it a couple years ago and it was such an incredible experience. But, it didn't come easy. I knew it would be the hardest hike I've ever done (not an avid hiker here) and I wanted to be ready for it
If you had half a day in Zion National Park with kids | Adventurin' harm Mon, 11/30/2015 - 13:06
If you had half a day in Zion National Park...what would you do? Even with the snow on the ground, there is still plenty of hiking to be done! I found myself asking that question on Halloween Day. We were down visiting family and really wanted to visit Zion. My husband and I hadn't been to the main entrance of the park for years and years, so we felt it was the perfect time to go since it wasn't blazing hot. We thought it was going to be cold, so we all packed long sleeves and jackets. Luckily, it ended

The Prettiest, Easiest Hike | Silver Lake Loop Trail

I’m excited to share Silver Lake with you! Silver Lake is a place you have to know about! It’s the place we go to when we need to get out of the house and into nature but aren’t quite up for ditching the stroller and dragging the kids up a mountain. The Silver Lake trail might be the easiest hike you’ve ever been on. I can’t even bring myself to call it a hike, it’s more of a nature walk. BUT, it’s the prettiest nature walk you’ve ever been on. The path around Silver Lake is about ¾ mile long

Alpine Loop Nature Trail | Cedar Breaks National Monument | Southern Utah

May 24, 2015. There was a crazy amount of snow at Cedar Breaks. Look what happens after just two months. Aiko and I would like to introduce you to Alpine Loop Hike at Cedar Breaks National Monument. One of the most beautifully floral hikes we've ever been on. I always love seeing the Red Rocks of Southern Utah. We actually went on this hike when Aiko was six months and I probably just realized I was pregnant with Orion. So it's been a while. But it was in the middl I've been meaning to post about this hike, because every

Bryce Canyon Lodge & Cabins | Road Trippin' | Southern Utah

Harmony here! A few weeks ago I was able to take my babies to Bryce Canyon National Park. My Father-in-law worked at Bryce Canyon Lodge in the 60's for 9 years! Every five years there is a reunion for those who worked at Bryce from 1950 to 1970s. He was in charge of the reunion, so we kind of invited ourselves. It's not very often we get Grandma ANNNDD Grandpa to ourselves! This was my first road trip all by myself with just the #ohniceandchubbybabies. Bryce Canyon is 5 hours away so I wasn't quite sure how all of this

Baer Creek Hike | Kaysville | Adventurin'

Sometimes we start hiking and we don't really know where we are going. Well, we KNOW where we wanted to go, but one can't always be sure where to begin. So we just keep on hiking, because maybe, just maybe, we will eventually make it to our destination. Luckily, a stranger runs by and you decide to inquire for information. The stranger informs you that you are actually on a hike called Francis Peak, which, happens to be a 9 hour hike (from the trailhead we started at.) He gazes at the 10 kids and tells you there is a

6 Things to Know about Snow Canyon | Southern Utah | Field Trippin'

Stephanie here. Today I'm sharing 4 amazing trails in Snow Canyon and 6 things you should know before you go! Hidden Pinyon Trail This was a great trail for the kids(9m-9yrs). We picked up a trail guide at the start of the trail. Along the way there were markers, 19 total. Each marker corresponded with a plant in our trail guide. The kids loved running along the trail in search of the next marker. Then we would stop and read about the plant. This was an awesome resource! We learned so much about the plants, what they are used for
