8 FREE things to add to your San Diego Bucketlist

We LOVED exploring San Diego and are so excited to share 8 of our favorite FREE things to add to your San Diego Bucket list! #1 Old Town 2415 San Diego Avenue Suite 104 San Diego CA 92110 (Phone) 619.291.4903 This was our first stop and it gave the kids a good idea about what early California was like. So much charm, so much culture. We loved exploring the town and we were there early so we got a good parking spot and explored the old buildings without crowds. Next up was the Mormon Battalion Museum across the street. Then

Roadtrippin' | Red Cliffs Hike | Southern Utah

The top two photos are from Harmony's trip to Red Cliffs years, like 5 or 6, long before the #ohniceandchubbybabies. She went during March, so we tried to stay out of the water as much as possible. We've since seen photos of people swimming and want to go back! The following photos are from Stephanie's trip to southern Utah with her kids. The trail was kid friendly, they were so excited to see waterfalls, but we must have come at the wrong time of year. The kids(7-9yrs) were pretty excited to see a tree that looked like an elephant. Early

Roadtrippin' | Silver Reef Ghost Town | Southern Utah

We met up with our friends from Armelle blog in Silver Reef (between St. George and Cedar City) for a tour of the Ghost Town. We had a guide take us through the 3 room museum. Then we got a map to explore the grounds. The museum had a scavenger hunt for the kids to check off as our guide told us interesting stories and facts about the artifacts in the museum. There were several old ruins of buildings left standing. Most of the town had burned down or been hauled away to build surrounding towns. The kids had fun

Grubbin' | Brad's Food Hut | Cedar City | Southern Utah

After exploring the Frontier Homestead, we were starving! We jumped in the car and headed across the street. They had me at the big red roof. It had a small town feel and I was sure the food would be fabulous. I was right! Juicy burger, amazing fries and I couldn't resist the fried mushrooms. They didn't disappoint. Since we were on vacay, I let the kids order chocolate shakes to dip our fries in, but Brads has killer fry sauce, so if you don't like your fries in your shake, they have you covered. Oh and my favorite detail

Roadtrippin' | Main Street Park | Hermies | Cedar City | Southern Utah

Cedar City Main Street Park Just south of the library is a sweet little park on Main Street. After a full day of hiking and adventuring, we stopped at the park to play until the sun went down. The park has a triple story slide and a few toys the kids(7-10yrs) hadn't seen before. Plus, lots of mature trees and plenty of grass. Hermies 294 North Main Street, Cedar City After playing hard, we ran next door to Hermies for a shake and fries. Hermies is a small town diner, complete with jukebox and red and white striped benches. Total

4 FREE Museums in St. George that kids will Love | Road Trippin'

There are 3 museums within walking distance in down town St. George, and Stephanie wrote a little about each of them. Brigham Young Winter House | St. George Open daily from 9:00 a.m. to dusk | Free | 67 W 200 N, St George, UT 84770 As we toured the home, we learned a lot interesting things. The Pioneers that settled St. George grew cotton and raised silk worms. They planted mulberry trees all over because they grow well in the climate and they are the only thing silk worms eat. In the first year, they managed to grow 100,000
