List of Winter Businesses in Bear Lake

Ever wonder what one does during the winter in Bear Lake? While, it's true, most of the favorite stuff to do is in the summer, winter in Bear Lake should not be forgotten. There's something about hunkering down in a cabin, with a fire, gazing out the window at the frozen Bear Lake. Or maybe you are super adventurous and go snowmobiling, snowshoeing or even ice fishing. Either way, let it me known, there is more to Bear Lake than just swimming and boating. Below is a list of the businesses that are ACTUALLY open in the winter. (I'm sure

Summit Inn Pizza | Garden City

There are only a few places to eat in Garden City in the winter and we are lucky that Summit Inn Pizza was one of them. We had never been but heard that the we should go to try the Doodles. We had no idea what they were but OH MY GOODNESS! They were amazing! Its kind of like garlic bread in the shape of a cinnamon roll filled with cheese. SO GOOD! We ended up getting a second order to go! These guys are locally owned and operated by the sweetest family #supportlocal The pizza was delicious. Our 4
Limber Pine Nature Trail | Hikes harm Wed, 08/02/2017 - 22:36
Limber Pine Trail is short nature 1.3 mile loop and is always a good idea if you are near logan canyon or on your way to Bear Lake. This trail is great for all ages and levels of hikers! It is wide and level. A beautiful walk through the wooded forests and mountain meadows of the Cache National Forest. Just a few steps up from the parking lot the trail will split. Go to your right here so you can read the signs in order. Our kids loved reading the interpretive signs along the way. Especially the sign about why

More Fun in Bear Lake | Paris | Dingle | Zipz

I know you've all heard/read about/done fun things at Bear Lake (see past Salt Project posts here, here and here) but I'm here to assure you that there are still MORE fun things to do during your visit to Bear Lake that you probably have never done before! All of the activities are located in the Bear Lake Valley, which means they cover Utah and Idaho territory. Here's the list: Visit the Paris Tabernacle If you take a short drive north of Bear Lake on the US-89, you'll end up in Paris. Idaho, that is. I wish you could take

Glamping or Camping? 11 Hacks | Adventurin' | Conestoga Ranch | Bear Lake

Bear Lake is a summer must for our family. We've teamed up with Conestoga Ranch again this year and whether you are Glamping or Camping, we wanted to share 11 Hacks to make your experience "easy peasey lemon squeeze" as my 5 year old would say. TIP #1 BUSY BAGS I hung canvas bags over the head rests and filled them with things to keep little hands and minds engaged on our road trip to Bear Lake. Each bag was filled with age appropriate items. Here's what I put in my 8 yr old daughters bag. I let the kids

MW Quarter Horses | Adventurin'

I was looking for fun things to do on our Glamping Staycation in Bear Lake and found horse back riding. I called MW Quarter horses and they just happed to have something that would work for us. We were traveling with 4 kids (ages 1-11) and taking littles on a trail ride isn't an option. Lucky for us MW Quarter horses have a variety of options for getting your horse fix for city folks like ourselves. They offer boarding, trail rides, birthday parties, reunion parties, rent a horse, you name it. I called up the owner Marie and she helped

Bear Lake Bucket List

Renegade Raceway | Garden City, Utah This was a last minute stop and we are so glad we did! You pass the Raceway as you enter Garden City, right before you reach Bear Lake. You can't miss it. I didn't know if the younger kids would be able to do it so we weren't going to stop, but guess what? They can! They have pillows to put behind kids so they can reach the peddles, also, for short adults like myself. Locke(10) road by himself, Dan took Riz(4) and Breckyn(8) came with me. The baby, unfortunately, was too small, so

Glamping Do's and Don'ts | Adventurin' | Conestoga Ranch | Bear Lake

Hello! It's Steph, first time Glamper here. I'll be sharing the things we loved as well as things we wish we had know. We would definitely do things differently next time. We had the opportunity to stay a couple nights in Bear Lake at Conestoga Ranch a couple weeks ago. I'm so excited to take you on a tour of the Ranch and share the Do's and Don'ts of Glamping. Day 1 There are two things I'm kind of obsessed with. Food trucks and Glamping. I don't know what it is, but I'm o.b.s.e.s.s.e.d.! We locked in our date for
