Right after visiting Mystic Hot Springs we were told there was another hot spring nearby and this one was FREE! While Mystic Hot Springs is beautiful, one can't pass up a free hot spring! I was actually very surprised by this sign. Many hot springs are trashy and not well kept, but this one, this lovely community hot spring was obviously well cared for. There was a grill, a firepit, a swinging chair and hardly ANY trash on the ground. Please, PLEASE keep it clean for everyone! The kids could have spent HOURS here. They loved being able to divert
Welcome to Richfield, Utah, centrally located in Sevier County! Richfield City was our home base for our 8th Staycation! Richfield is home to miles and miles of ATV trails, hikes, river fun and a good small-town vibe. We truly loved staying last weekend and we are super excited to share more! We dropped off our luggage and then headed right into town. The first thing we noticed was the Visitor Center! It was beautiful! The kids had been in the car for the past 3 hours so we decided it was time to let them loose! I loved seeing this
Every second Thursday of the month, June to October from 6-9 PM, shop local artisans, enjoy live music, dine at some dynamite food trucks, watch master craft demonstrations, and let your kids enjoy some free painting! So come on a stroll with us! Support your friends, neighbors and family, and help rejuvenate the Kaysville community.
When we partnered up with Play in Davis, I'll admit, we were a little worried, worried we couldn't do Davis County the justice it deserved! There are so many epic things to do in Davis County and because we live here, we think we've done it all. Wrong. While we have done LOTS of things in Davis County, we've never hiked the Indian Princess Grave before! (thanks to John from Love Letters for sharing this gem with us.) We headed back to a familiar spot for the trailhead of the Indian Princess Grave, the Farmington Pond Parking Lot. We literally
What screams Davis County more than Francis Peak? Or better known to the locals as the "Golf Balls!" We were staying at the Hyatt at Farmington Station for our Staycation and you have the perfect view of the Golf Balls. When I first brought up the idea to Stephanie, she was slightly terrified. The drive up is not for the faint of heart. The dirt road is windy and sometimes it's one way. It's actually the reason the Car Graveyard Hike exists. If you can make it all the way to the top, it's all worth the fright. The view
On our way back from Francis Peak we decided to make one more stop, we had to find the Farmington Flats Ponds (actually called Farmington Lake)! Stephanie had camped up in Farmington Canyon a few years ago and wanted to go find the ponds (which come to find out is actually a lake) again. If you don't take the left to Francis Peak, you'll find yourself coming to the Bountiful Peak Campgrounds and if you go even further, you'll find Farmington Lake. The water was pretty crystal clear and cool! Baby Wells took no time just going right in. If
The George S. and Dolores Dore Eccles Wildlife Education Center at Farmington Bay | 12 Utah Staycations harm Wed, 07/17/2019 - 16:23
How many of you have been to The George S. and Dolores Dore Eccles Wildlife Education Center at Farmington Bay? It's a mouthful, but one of our favorite places to visit, especially in the winter months. Thanks to Davis County for teaming up with the Salt Project so we can show off this sweet place! Since we were heading out to Antelope Island, we knew we needed to stop by the newly remodeled center! We actually visited years ago here, before the new building. We love the new center though. There's a few buildings + AC (!!!) and a learning
On our way out to Antelope Island State Park, we saw the strangest thing... Angry Birds and Crazy Pigs! We've actually driven past these for years and finally stopped. The kids thought they were hilarious!

New park alert!!! Pioneer Park in Kaysville is GORGEOUS! It's huge, spacious, new, huge, did I mention it's huge? These guys have it all, swings, slides, a little elevator, spider web, tunnels, things to climb, bridges, gorgeous walkways, lots of rocks to climb, bathrooms, and a giant barn with tables. Need I say more? Unfortunately, it was mid day when we went so it was blazing hot out, I wasn't feeling well, and the baby had just fallen asleep in the van, so I ran around to snap some photos really quick, then let the kids play for 15 minutes
