Beus Pond | Adventurin'

It was Free Fishing Day last week so we decided to try a new pond and bust out our dusty fishing poles that we use each year on this day. My kids have never been to Beus, and it's just a hidden gem. The pond is right next to the parking lot but everything is covered in tall trees and shrubs so it feels very secluded. The trail around the pond is very short and paved. There are dirt trail off shoots all around that go to a grassy field and park. And there is a small river that leads

Hello NEW HIKE IN LAYTON! Best Part? It's right in our stomping grounds! Layton's new trail at Hobb's Pond is freaking amazing! It's about 2.4 miles and can be done in a loop. Half of it is a new dirt trail and the other half is the paved trail of Kays Creek. Stephanie and Locke were out exploring at Hobb's Pond on the Kays Creek Trail and happened upon this new trail! Naturally, they had to follow it. They could NOT believe it! The hike was SO awesome that they decided to do it again the next day with the

After a few crazy weeks at The Salt Project, we decided to take it down a bit and go to a good ol' park. The Jensen Nature Park has paved trails, ducks, fishing, shade, rivers, grass...the perfect place to go and relax. Berdee's shorties are from Wee Stitch Co. A little etsy shop run by a sweet momma of two littles. She makes hand made leggings, tops, skirts, you name it. We took the trail around the pond. It wasn't super hot that day, in fact it was pretty windy. The kids brought their bikes and scooters while the mamas

Steph, here! Andy Adams Community Fishery is one of our favorites! My mother in Law is an Adams and many of her ancestors settled Kaysville and Layton. Elias Adams being one of four pioneers that settled the area. There are several places named after the family including Adams Canyon, Andy Adams Park, and Andy Adams Reservoir and Community Fishery. The kids took a fishing class from Layton City 2 year ago here at Andy Adams Reservoir and loved it! We like to come catch fish, tadpoles and play in the water. Did you know kids under 12 can fish without
Bountiful Lake | Bountiful | Adventurin'

Oh, Utah. Why do you have to be so hot? We decided last week to head over to Bountiful Lake. I was kind of thinking that we would be able to wade in the water? Come to find out, you probably don't want to swim/wade in the water. It was kind of stinky/fishy. Nonetheless, we parked the bikes under the shade and Melinda decided to venture out into the murky waters. Melinda was out with the majority of the kids, the #ohniceandchubbybabies and I decided to hang out in the shade for a while. Brother played with the Bocce Balls
