Girl's Night out at Station Park!

Stephanie and I LOVE Station Park. It's our go-to shopping place and luckily it's super close! If you haven't shopped at Station Park, you need too! You'll never see so many BEAUTIFUL flowers and beautiful walkways while shopping! We love the outdoor shopping vibe and it's super family-friendly. We've spent many hours at the playground and watching the water fountain show! We are super excited to partner up with Station Park and show you ALL the things we did for a much needed Girl's Night Out! Appetizers at P.F. Chang's P.F. Chang's has just opened up at Station Park, like

Love Letters Coupon

Love Letters at the Gateway is the PERFECT summer activity! Not too hot and not too cold. Inside that is. We've got a discount below so be sure to redeem when you purchase! Obviously, our favorite part is the confetti room. But my kids are still talking about the book slide! This room is super cool too. It's kind of mesmerizing and slightly freaky at the same time. You can write a love letter anonymously then pick another one from someone else. Aiko took this very seriously. I love all the different mediums used here. This mural was created with

The Rush Funplex | 12 Utah Staycations

Man. It is HOT outside! This Staycation felt a little different because we did quite a bit inside, but we aren't complaining! Plus, it RAINED again?! This summer sure has been weird. The Rush Funplex is the BIGGEST indoor playground in Utah! You literally could spend HOURS here. We were there for 3 hours and barely scratched the surface! We started out with some good old fashioned bowling. We don't bowl very often and the kid LOVED it. We missed it, but there is galactic bowling at the very opposite end. Especially the little ones. There is something super fun

The George S. and Dolores Dore Eccles Wildlife Education Center at Farmington Bay | 12 Utah Staycations

How many of you have been to The George S. and Dolores Dore Eccles Wildlife Education Center at Farmington Bay? It's a mouthful, but one of our favorite places to visit, especially in the winter months. Thanks to Davis County for teaming up with the Salt Project so we can show off this sweet place! Since we were heading out to Antelope Island, we knew we needed to stop by the newly remodeled center! We actually visited years ago here, before the new building. We love the new center though. There's a few buildings + AC (!!!) and a learning

The Train Shoppe | The Ricochet Canyon

****UPDATE****We regret to announce that as of June 27th, 2019 our Ricochet Canyon wild west themed family entertainment center is closed to the public for a yet undetermined period of time. For years, I've seen snippets of a cute train shop somewhere in Utah. We finally found it and finally went...in DECEMBER! Man. I've had these photos sitting on my desktop forever! I've just barely seen them again and I've decided it's time! My grandma used to own a train shop in Iowa, so I have some fond memories of trains. I've chased quite a few trains in my life

Red Canyon Visitor Center | Ashley National Forest | 12 Utah Staycations

So many places so go, only a few short days to visit! While in Vernal, many of the locals told us that Red Canyon Visitor Center was a MUST. We now know why. It truly is one of the most amazing views. I love mid-century style EVERYTHING. So when you walk up to the visitor center that's all you see. Once you walk inside though!! That view is CRAZY cool. A boat was going down the river and making the most beautiful lines. Right outside the Visitor Center is a scenic walk. We took a short 5 minute walk to

Flaming Gorge Dam Visitor Center & Tour | 12 Utah Staycations

Flaming Gorge Dam has a free tour and it was one of the highlights of our Vernal Staycation! I can't recall ever doing the tour before and I have vague memories of maybe driving across the dam, but I'm not even sure. When chatting with the locals of Vernal we asked them which would you if you only had time for one. "Would you go to Fantasy Canyon or Flaming Gorge?" Everybody said Flaming Gorge! (We see you Fantasy Canyon, we'll be back for you.) On our way home, we decided to make the hour long drive and head up

Utah Field House of Natural History State Park Museum | 12 Utah Staycations

One can't go to Vernal without visiting the Utah Field House of Natural History State Park Museum! Since the weather had been rainy, we decided that the museum was just the right solution! Besides that, who doesn't LOVE dinosaurs! If you want, they have a fun booklet you can purchase at the front desk. It helps the kids pay more attention and even learn some fun facts about dinosaurs! The kids loved running around and we loved not getting rained on. We went to the outside portion of the museum. The kids loved running around and we loved not getting

Pickleville Playhouse | The Pickleville Grill | 12 Utah Staycations

The Pickleville Playhouse is located on the south end of Bear Lake. We'd actually never heard nor actually knew what went on in that building until I chatted with a local guy named Rich. Rich said we HAD to make sure and visit the Pickleville Playhouse! He had nothing but awesome things to say about it! Come to find out, it seems like everyone knows about Pickleville Playhouse! Before each show, you can choose to dine at the Pickleville Grill (which we totally recommend.) The atmosphere is lovely and fun and we happened to come on Fiesta Night! There are

Paris Tabernacle in Idaho | 12 Utah Staycations

Stephanie mentioned that she wanted to visit the Paris Springs in Idaho (30 minutes from Conestoga Ranch) so we picked up our picnic lunches from Campfire Grill and headed out! Stephanie and Dan weren't quite sure where we were heading and our GPS took us on the wrong road to Bloomington (which we've been to before.) so we ended up driving around Paris for a hot minute. As we were driving through Paris, we saw the giant building and thought it looked like the perfect place for our picnic! Perfect place and DELICIOUS FOOD! Campfire Grill does not disappoint! Everyone
