Donner-Reed Museum | 12 Utah Staycations harm Sat, 10/26/2019 - 22:16
After sleeping at Bonneville Seabase we decided to check out one last roadside oddity in Grantsville, The Donnor-Reed Museum! For those of you who don't know why the Donnor-Reed Museum is such an oddity, basically, this pioneer caravan is known, for one thing, cannibalism. We couldn't help ourselves. We knew this was a stop that had to be made. You have to call ahead and see if one of the local volunteers is available to give you a tour. Luckily, someone was in town and came to open the doors and give us a tour! The Donnor-Reed Museum is actually

3 Things to do in Hyrum with Snow in Mind | Field Trippin

With all the fresh snow Cache Valley has just gotten, I'm sure this is a magical winterland. 1. Hardware Ranch One of our first Salt Project Adventures! Yes, you can do all of these activates in a day. Just plan accordingly. It's an all day thing if you don't live nearby. 2. Hyrum City Park aka Winter Wonderland We passed this park on our way to Hardware Ranch. We probably spent 30 minutes there, but we could have stayed forever! 3. Salt Hollow Park | Hyrum, UT We also passed this park on our way as well. Who knew Hyrum

Museum of Natural Curiosity | Thanksgiving Point

This is hands down, my kids favorite museum. You can see why below. The hands on, super kid friendly, run crazy and wild museum is really perfect for all ages. And you better believe I get in on the action too. I need one of those elastic jungle gyms in my house! I don't think I have ever laughed so hard. (Check out The Salt Project's past posts.) We went to check out their new exhibit Geometry Playground. We enjoyed working and playing with shapes and seeing how they work together and the kids loved the playground. After exploring inside

Stargazing

Sometimes I accidently over schedule my little family. I am so excited to get out and do something every time my husband has time off of work that I forget that he sometimes likes to just be home and relax during his down time. Oops. So last weekend I tried to find something a little more low-key that we could do to still get out of the house together as a family, but that wouldn't be quite so high energy. That is when I discovered that the Salt Lake Astronomical Society hosts FREE public star parties about once a month

This isn't goodbye Ogden | Giveaway (Closed)

If you haven't seen our last two weeks, or maybe you have, you'll know that we've been concentrated really hard on Ogden. It was meant to last a week, but now it's gone two, and it could quite easily go on and on. It's time to bring it to an end, besides, that's what Indie Ogden does, OGDEN. Oh, you'll see us post here and there again about Ogden. Harmony does live here and loves it so just expect it. We'd thought it would be good to round up Ogden once again, because the list keeps growing! Eccles Community Art
