6 July 2023
We are teaming up with Visit Ogden to bring you a list of our favorite kid friendly museums in Ogden! These were all so fun to visit on our Ogden Staycation, and the best part is that two of them are accessible from the Ogden River Parkway, so we were able to ride our bikes! 1st up, Dinosaur Museum. We took a 20 minute bike ride from our hotel downtown, to the park. The bike path runs along the river and is so beautiful! You can keep going past the dino park all the way to the Ogden Canyon Waterfall

If you are looking for something super unique to do in Ogden, you definitely have to check indoor skydiving off your list at ifly. Our youngest flyer was 5 and he did amazing. I was so impressed by the staff and how helpful they were and how much fun they made the experience. Our kids went years ago when they first opened but Dan and I had never been, neither had our younger kids. So it was fun to do this activity all together. iFLY is an indoor skydiving facility located in Ogden, Utah. It offers a thrilling and unique

I still remember going to Jackson Hole as a kid and going to the local playhouse to see a play. It was my first time seeing live theater and it was fun and interactive and made such a big impression on me. This was Wells (age 5) first time going to Pickleville and loved it. I'm sure a lot of it went over his head but we were all laughing and had such a good time. If you want to do something fun and unique thats fun for all ages, this is it! The theater is only a short 10
Pintsize Picassos - Black Light Paint Night

6 April 2022
We had a friend reach out on Instagram and tell us about this fun family owned business in Bountiful. She said we should check it out because her and her daughter had such a great experience. So... we scheduled the next available class! Which just happened to be a Black Light paint class. Locke had work, but Breck didn't! So I took 80% of the kids to try out Pintsize Picassos. The last time I did a paint class was in 2020 during covid quarantine. Do you remember when we all had to stay home for 3 weeks! Seems like

The Colosseum - Raid Zombie Lasertag - Layton

7 October 2021
We LOVE October here at The Salt Project! So many fun things to do this time of year. We were so excited to try something NEW last week. Instead of running from zombies in a corn maze or haunted house, The Colosseum gives you a laser gun to actually defend yourself from zombies the zombies! It's like they dropped you into the movie I Am Legend, or a real life game of Halo! It's a mix of that AND an escape room because you are on a mission and have to follow the clues to win. It is called a
Fly High’s Flyghtmares - Spooky trampoline park

7 October 2021
One of our family's favorite fall tradition is going to Flyghtmares at Fly High. It's a spooky spin on their favorite trampoline park. The ropes course is turned into a spook alley, the lights are low, fog rolls down the stairs, and there are pumpkins and goblins around every corner. It is definitely kid friendly, not too scary for littles, and you don't have to worry about anyone jumping out to scare you if thats not your thing. It is decorated to the MAX! Every turn has something fun for the kids to play on and explore. And we love

Porcupine Reservoir Kokanee Salmon Run - The best Spot

28 September 2020
Although we have featured the Salmon Run several times here on The Salt Project, this was my families first time going to see them. Taking babies on adventures can be overwhelming. Also fieltrippin' alone without the support of a spouse or friend can feel daunting. And so, the thought of tackling this particular adventure in past years just sounded too overwhleming to me. Well this year was MY YEAR! It's been on my bucketlist for so many years. I was so excited to finally go for a visit. After reading the blog posts here on Salt Project, it looked like
