Mothers Day at Caffe Torino - Winner of the UTAH TASTE OFF
steph
27 April 2022
Caffe Torino has been a favorite of ours for years now. Driving down Main St. in Farmington, lined in giant sycamore trees, pulling up to the little historic home that has been converted to a caffe. The darling patio with twinkle lights and live music all summer. It's one of my favorite places to visit on summer evenings, or special occasions like Mothers Day. Oh, and then we have the food. The crepe's, the panini's, the drinks, the gelato. And if those weren't good enough reasons to go visit for Mothers Day, snagging a Utah Taste Off winning Mango Coconut

I love trying out a new trail, but I also get anxiety about it and find myself very resistant to the idea often times. What if I get lost? What if it's too hard? Well, I have gotten lost (and I did get lost on this hike lol), and I have always been able to do finish, no matter how hard it's been. And when I get lost (which is often), it always makes for a great story after. Well this hike has been on my list for awhile, so when a friend reached out and wanted to try a

One of our favorite hikes in the fall is the Car Graveyard Hike in Farmington. We go every fall because it's a little spooky with all the old crashed cars that have fallen off the canyon road above. Check out a video and more photos here. We have never been in the spring, so this year we went in April, as soon as the snow was melted. The gate was closed to the canyon road so we had to park at the bottom and walk a mile up to the trail head. When we got to the second river, the

Stephanie and I LOVE Station Park. It's our go-to shopping place and luckily it's super close! If you haven't shopped at Station Park, you need too! You'll never see so many BEAUTIFUL flowers and beautiful walkways while shopping! We love the outdoor shopping vibe and it's super family-friendly. We've spent many hours at the playground and watching the water fountain show! We are super excited to partner up with Station Park and show you ALL the things we did for a much needed Girl's Night Out! Appetizers at P.F. Chang's P.F. Chang's has just opened up at Station Park, like

We've teamed up with Davis County to show off this awesome restaurant located at Station Park in Farmington: Tortilla Union! We tried a few appetizers, like the candied bacon and chips and salsa trio! MMMMmmm love the watermelon salad, especially, when it's so hot outside! The smothered burrito is delicious with just enough kick! Steph's kids are really into ribs right now. Good thing there is plenty for everyone to share! We tried the enchiladas and love them! This place is perfect for some family parties! We saw three other giant parties there too. Stephanie's favorite is the shrimp tacos

We couldn't think of a better place to kick off our staycation in our hometown of Davis County than Santorini Greek Grill. Located at Station Park in Farmington, they are right in the heart of Davis County. And just happened to by right where we were kicking off our adventure! My kids always order the house Greek yogurt and fruit. I always get the Greek nachos and a salad. This time husband wasn't with us so I just settled on the nachos with lamb. So so good. These are made with potatoes, so they make incredible leftovers too. And that

When we partnered up with Play in Davis, I'll admit, we were a little worried, worried we couldn't do Davis County the justice it deserved! There are so many epic things to do in Davis County and because we live here, we think we've done it all. Wrong. While we have done LOTS of things in Davis County, we've never hiked the Indian Princess Grave before! (thanks to John from Love Letters for sharing this gem with us.) We headed back to a familiar spot for the trailhead of the Indian Princess Grave, the Farmington Pond Parking Lot. We literally

For our Davis Staycation, we stayed at The Hyatt Place in Farmington Station and it was amazing! Here are a few reasons why! It's fancy. It's fancy, but also kid-friendly, so it's a win-win! Kid-Friendly. There are some hotels that really aren't kid-friendly, but we're happy to report that the Hyatt Place is extremely kid-friendly! Swimming Pool! I'm sure we've all had our kids say "Can't we just swim at the pool." No matter where you are in the world, all the kids want to do is swim right? Delicious Breakfast. While it's not included with your stay, it's totally

What screams Davis County more than Francis Peak? Or better known to the locals as the "Golf Balls!" We were staying at the Hyatt at Farmington Station for our Staycation and you have the perfect view of the Golf Balls. When I first brought up the idea to Stephanie, she was slightly terrified. The drive up is not for the faint of heart. The dirt road is windy and sometimes it's one way. It's actually the reason the Car Graveyard Hike exists. If you can make it all the way to the top, it's all worth the fright. The view

How many of you have been to The George S. and Dolores Dore Eccles Wildlife Education Center at Farmington Bay? It's a mouthful, but one of our favorite places to visit, especially in the winter months. Thanks to Davis County for teaming up with the Salt Project so we can show off this sweet place! Since we were heading out to Antelope Island, we knew we needed to stop by the newly remodeled center! We actually visited years ago here, before the new building. We love the new center though. There's a few buildings + AC (!!!) and a learning
