St. George | 12 Utah Staycations

We had a spare minute and found ourselves about 20 minutes away from St. George and 20 minutes away from sunset. So we headed straight to The Crack! This is our favorite fast adventure and it just isn't a visit to St. George without conquering The Crack. We've never hiked it in the dark before. It was dusk, but the crack its self was super dark. It is definitely harder in the dark, so I don't recommend it if you are hiking for the first time. This is looking down from the top. We just love that red rock. And

Out and About in October

It's already October! Autumn is officially here, Halloween is just around the corner and there are so many fun seasonal things to do. It was pretty busy, you could only go up the crack because there were people in front and

The Red Hills Desert Garden | St. George

We stumbled upon The Red Hills Desert Garden on our way to The Crack in Pioneer Park. It was closed to the public, not to open until May 20th, but they were so kind to let us run around for a bit to get a sneak peek while they were still planting. It was absolutely breathtaking and the kids could have stayed for hours, running around the paths, over and under the many bridges. Locke (10) loves plants. He was in heaven running around finding endangered species and plants that he had never seen like agave! The paths are a

The Crack | St. George

The Crack, The Red Crack, who knows what it is actually called, but it has definitely been around longer than it's most recent names. Before having kids, my husband and I went hiking ALL the time, even before we started dating. I felt like we hiked everywhere in Southern Utah, well, maybe my husband has since he's a local. So when I mentioned The Crack in St. George and he didn't know what it was...HOT DANG! I actually had been to The Crack in his beloved Red Rocks and he hadn't. 1 point for Harmony. The actual crack is just
