Feature Friday | 4 Tips for Family Sledding- Tubing at Gorgoza Park

Today we've got Victoria telling us all about Gorgoza Park! I prefer sledding with my kids compared to skiing, largely due to cost but also because it is more accessible and provides a quick thrill for kids. We have several favorite sledding hills in east Salt Lake but I’ve always wanted to try a tubing park. If you head up Parley’s Canyon (toward Park City on I-80) Gorgoza Park is only 20 minutes from Salt Lake off the Jeremy Ranch exit. My family had the chance to try sledding at Gorgoza Park this past week during a social media event

Feature Friday | Brassy Apple | Farmington Trail or Lagoon Trail

Welcome Megan from Brassy Apple! When we moved to Utah (almost 5 years ago) we quickly asked neighbors about their favorite kid/family friendly trails. One of those we discovered is Farmington/Lagoon trail (750 North 100 West Farmington, UT). This is a trail we have discovered is so much fun in ALL seasons! Spring and Summer it is green and beautiful. The trail offers the right mix of sun and shade. It is paved so it is perfect for roller blades, skate boards, bikes, scooter, strollers and more. (summer view) (snowy winter view) We even found a fun patch of ice
Feature Friday | Haley | Midway Ice Castles harm Tue, 01/20/2015 - 19:11
Utah is known for having "The Greatest Snow on Earth"...well it has some pretty spectacular ice to boot. :) The sweet city of Midway is where you'll find the Ice Castles! New ice sculptures are built up annually--giving a new experience each year with bigger and more unique features than the last. There are now a few ice castles in other states, but the first was created here in Utah. We bundled up and explored it with our children last year, twice actually, and loved it. Out in the crisp winter air, we walked through frosted halls and under icy

Feature Friday | Megan Bowen | Candy Everything

I first met Megan at the Bijou Market last year as a vendor. Her display was amazing, all the bright colors totally drew me in. I think she was the first gal I was brave enough to ask if she wanted to trade, which, luckily, she did! I brought home some of her candy deer, and honestly, I never ate them, I have them as decoration in my house instead. They are that pretty! Of course, I chose orange. Isn't it stunning? So without further adieu, here's the lovely Megan. Hello! I live in downtown Salt Lake with my husband

14 Utah Bloggers | Awesome Giveaway! | Sandy

Hello, I'm Helena at A GAL NEEDS...I'm a native California girl but that was a long time ago...when you could walk on the San Joaquin River levees and trails alone and not be afraid of being accosted by exhibitionists, transients, pick-pockets and more. (The last time I visited, it was a exhibitionist, yikes!) It's still beautiful, don't get me wrong, but those days are gone for me. It seems like I've always lived in beautiful places, like the 10 years I spent in Floyd, VA, so green, so humid, so close to the Blue Ridge Parkway...I loved it so much

Salt Lake City Library

The Salt Project was in Salt Lake City last week! We had just gone through The Leonardo Museum (it's mind blowing, check it out here.) and then headed over to the Salt Lake Library. The library itself it kind of spectacular. The architecture is unlike anything else in Utah. Before heading in, we sat the kids outside in the Amphitheater to eat lunch. Luckily, it was a slightly warmed day, almost in the 50s. (Hot dang right?) How cute are their little backpacks? We have some big plans for these bags that may or may not include an awesome giveaway

LittleTreeTopsBaby

We interrupt your night to tell you about this AWESOME deal from Little Treetops on Zulily today! This "You are my Sunshine" shirt set is normally $30 on their Etsy shop, but on Zulily it's on $19.99! Harmony and Orion own one of their "Where the Wild Things Are" Mommy and Me sets and she LOVES them. It's the perfect length and just the right tightness. Plus, it's the tee is ultra soft and Orion looks quite handsome in his onesie! The Salt Project loves to support local companies and LittleTreeTops is a Utah family owned business. Their family moved

Nobody puts baby in the background | Baby's Dream Giveaway

Meet baby Ellis (3 months) and Orion (7 months.) Since these two little babes aren't mobile, they spend much of their time in the background. Sweet Ellis is quiet and sweet as a bird, while Little Brother is quite loud. On our adventures, these two help us slow down (usually to nurse) and remind us that we don't have to be go-go all the time. Usually in the stroller or in their Moby wraps, they often don't get much of the spotlight (yet.) We've decided to do a post all about our babes and their needs. We've teamed up with
