Secret Skate Park - OGDEN

I can't tell you how many times I've ridden this bike trail and not seen this skate park. Maybe it's because it's fenced off? Or maybe it was over grown with shrubs. But last week we rode by and there was an opening in the fence, so we decided to go explore. It had just rained and then started raining again while we were there so we didn't stay long but this place was awesome! It looks like an old retention pond turned skate park. Who ever made it put a lot of work into it. There are pipes and

Paper Airplane Trail at Powder Mountain

We've been seeing photos here and there of a giant paper airplane on Powder Mountain and we finally found it. Not that it's hard, but I was a little intimidated because all the photos I've seen have people on mountain bikes. I did a little research and found out it was a beginner trail (for adults) and figured the kids could probably do the .9 (ish) ride down the mountain. It was pretty exciting coming around the bend and spying the airplane way out there. It looked magical! We literally put "Paper Airplane Trail" in our phones and it took

Bike Ride to Garden City Park from Conestoga | 12 Utah Staycations

One of our favorite activities at Conestoga Ranch is the BIKES! We're super excited to team up with Conestoga Ranch and share all about our experience. Conestoga Ranch has bikes for almost everyone! There are tandem bikes, bikes with training wheels, kid bikes, cruisers all sorts of bikes. (Don't forget your helmet and to sign the waiver!) Seems like bike rides have been our new thang in each Staycation! I'll admit, they've quickly become one of my favorite activities. I've mentioned it before, but there is something totally magical about biking through a town. There's a WHOLE different feel to

Three Peaks Recreation Area | 12 Utah Staycations

Three Peaks Recreation Area is an AMAZING County park 10 miles out west of Cedar City. As a college student, we went out to have paintball wars, go bouldering and bike out there. Not a whole lot has changed in scenery, but they have updated the area quite a bit. Like, there's a whole pavilion you can rent out with swings nearby. But the BEST parts? All the boulders. It’s an amazing place covered in granite boulders. I mean COVERED. The rocks for some reason are very rounded and it’s perfect for scrambling around for everyone. You can mountain bike

Biking at Snow Canyon with our Yuba Bike!

We headed to Southern Utah a few weeks ago so we could get in some warm weather biking! I love writing about our favorite biking partner, Yuba Cargo Bikes! I've been DYING to take my new Yuba Bike out of the garage. I've ridden my Yuba (his name is still pending, we are taking suggestions) only a handful of times and usually the kids and I are bundled up since it's been so cold. Originally, we were going to head to Zion National Park, but after hearing on the news that tourists would be flooding the area with at least

Murdock Canal Trail Tour | Adventurin' | Lindon

The Weather is good, school is out and I know we are all looking for fun things to fill our days with! I personally love being outside, especially with my kids! During the summer we all feel better and treat each other better if we go outside, it must be all that vitamin D we are getting! Some of our favorite pastimes are hiking, biking, picnics and parks! Well, I have the perfect suggestion that encompasses all of those things and more! Bonus, its free! In Utah Valley the Murdock Canal Trail runs for 17 miles from Lehi to Orem

9th Street Hiking Trail | Adventurin'

I am 37 weeks pregnant today. Last week, I decided that I should go on a hike. Now, I haven't done so much as a walk around my block in months...I had been going to the gym, but the last month I've just been flat out lazy. Wasatch Little Explorers Club posted a meet-up and I figured today was my day to try something new and meet some new people! Ashley runs WLEC and posts weekly meet-ups. For this hiking meet-up, she planned for us to hike the trail on 9th Street in Ogden. It's part of the Bonneville shoreline
