Vessel Kitchen | 12 Utah Staycations

Stephanie is the master at finding delicious foods. She's always on the lookout. Our last place to visit in Park City was Vessel Kitchen. SUCH A GOOD CHOICE! I was super excited to see the menu filled with all sorts of meats, veggies, and different sauces! The menu is amazing, there's even allergy-sensitive dishes and Whole30. So many good options! Brussel Sprouts for the win again! Along with the Miso Steelhead. Avocado Toast The Hash Hash was SO good. It made me feel all warm and cozy inside. It was like eating a super fancy stew. The pickled veggies on

Versante Hearth + Bar | 12 Utah Staycations

After ice skating outside it was time to eat! Park City known for their delicious food and we were super excited to try Versante Grill + Bar! Their wood-fired pizzas caught our eye first! We were a little worried it was a little too fancy for all 9 children, but it was a fun atmosphere for a family! We sat right across the way from the oven! Stephanie and I can't pass up some delicious Brussel sprouts! These Honey Truffle Brussel sprouts were dang delicious. We had all the kids so why not make it a pizza night? We ordered

The Robot Zoo | Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter | 12 Utah Staycations

One of our favorite places to visit in Park City is the Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter! Every time we are in the area, we always stop by. It's a beautiful LEED building and always has fun activities to visit. Most of the Preserve is free to visit and sometimes there are rotating exhibits that have admission costs. The Robot Zoo (Sept. 14 - Jan. 5 + Admission) is in town right now and it's AWESOME. The Robot Zoo has some pretty sweet hands-on exhibits. I was super impressed with the animatronics. It's kind of steampunk meets mother nature and it's

Resort Center Ice Skating Rink | 12 Utah Staycations

It seems Park City had all sorts of adventures just waiting for us. We took ALL the kids ice skating (for the first time) the Park City Resort and it was SOOO fun! We got everyone into their skates (phew, that takes a while to tie all those shoes!) We made sure to bring socks for everyone and mittens. There were even tiny skates for the toddlers! I'm not sure when these awesome blue things came out, but I'm so glad that they are in the world! The kids each had one and just roamed all over the ice without

Skiing at Park City Mountain | 12 Utah Staycations

For many years, Stephanie and I have talked about taking everyone skiing or snowboarding, but to be honest, we both very much did not want to take them. I mean, we do, but we also really don't want too either. It's a lot of work to go sledding, what would it be like to have all that equipment and teach everyone?! Our good friend and cheerleader, Lisa from Off The Couch, offered her teaching services and support. Otherwise, we never would have gone anywhere near the mountain to ski! None of us had any equipment, so we partnered up with

Sheraton Park City | 12 Utah Staycations

For our 12th and final Utah Staycation, we stayed at the lovely Sheraton Park City Hotel right in the heart of Park City! We couldn't ask for a more beautiful place to stay! The snow had just dusted the ground, so everything was extra sparkly and perfect. We arrived after dark, but I'm kind of glad we did. Park City sure knows how to do Christmas lights! It was super lovely driving up to the hotel and finding all the twinkling lights. I love traveling during the holidays. Walking into a beautiful lobby that's decked out in Christmas cheer changes

Zion Adventure Photog Family Photos | 12 Utah Staycations

When I realized that we would be close to Arika (from Zion Adventure Photog) when visiting Cable Mountain Lodge, I knew that family photos needed to happen! Arika is my favorite Southern Utah Photographer (dare I say favorite in general?) I was super excited to have Stephanie meet Arika in person too. Stephanie and I planned to have Arika take pretty casual photos. I wanted to have some photos that shows us pretty much how we are, dressed as we are, stains and all. I loved how they turned out. I admire Arika's love for adventure families too! She's got

Hiking the Narrows | 12 Utah Staycations

Hiking The Narrows has been a life long goal of mine. I always pictured a big trip down to Zion with a group of people, taking a guided tour for an all-day hiking experience. Well our schedule got switched around and our Sunday morning was wide open, so when I saw people riding the shuttle in full gear I knew they were hiking The Narrows. I tracked down some gear to rent at a local spot just outside the gate of the park and then reached out to our amazing followers online for some tips. They encouraged me to go
