Family Field trip Friday! Actually, I'm not sure what day it is because, summer! But I know its the first week of August which means there is only one acceptable activity, floating the river! We found this little spot when we were riding the Ogden Bike Path. And added it to our summer bucketlist. There are actually 2 spots that we found. I have a memory from my childhood of taking our family station wagon to the car wash. We waited inside a building and watched out a window to see our car driving past us covered in bubbles. I don't know what it is about car washes but kids LOVE them! My kids never say "Mom can we go to the bank?" or "can we go to the post office, "or even "can we go get gas." No, but I do hear "Mom, can we go to the car wash?" So this day I said, "Yes kids, yes we can". Magic

I hadn't had Mexican food for months and I was craving it. I also love trying new places, so when I found Maria's in South Ogden we decided to leave the kids home for this one and have a nice double date for a change. They brought out chips and fresh salsa right away. Bonus points. And the chips were seasoned. Another bonus point. The atmosphere was great. Nice and new but with the wood and lights, it had lots of charm. The sweetest couple just opened Maria's a few months ago! They are local Utahns and just moved up
