Rowley's Big Red Barn U-Pick Apples

We have driven by Rowley's Red Barn countless times, always with a promise of stopping one of these times. Our 1st visit was perfect timing because it was opening week for the U-pick apples! We arrived about 10 am on a Saturday and the crowds were very minimal. We timed it just right because the parking lot was full by the time we left. They have over 1000 acres, so although there were quite a few cars in the parking lot, we had an entire row to ourselves for picking and some cute photo ops. One of the owners gave

Saratoga Hot Springs | 12 Utah Staycations

The first time I heard about these hot springs was last Oct 2018. I was participating in the Questival Race and one of our challenges was to jump into a natural hot spring. It was late, dark, and FREEZING! We parked, changed into swimmers, ran down the path in the dark, had no idea what we were jumping into, stayed for a minute and then ran back to the car so we could compete another challenge. I wasn't planning on visiting again in October, but this time we were equip with light so we could actually see what we were

Butterfly Biosphere | Thanksgiving Point

The Butterfly Biosphere is the newest venue at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi. It’s 40,000 square feet which houses thousands of butterflies from around the world. In addition to butterflies you can find different species of other creepy crawly friends. My kiddos loved the photo opportunity just past the main entrance which allows you to pose like a bug inside a giant jar. The Butterfly biosphere features a Conservatory, a Costa Rica Climber play area and a Discovery Zone. Upon entering the biosphere you’ll find yourself in the Discovery Zone, this area has educational exhibits and is an insectarium where you

Visiting the BYU Museum of Art

Visiting Provo any time soon? If you're looking for something free to keep you and the kids entertained for a morning or afternoon, check out the BYU Museum of Art. This FREE museum is rad, and offers so many great things for families to do! In fact, it's one of the best art museums in Utah . . . and it's FREE! Recently, my family and I visited the MOA to check out a new contemporary art installation titled "Windswept", by artist Patrick Dougherty. My kids loved exploring the twisting forms created by intertwined willow saplings. The whole installation felt

Airborne Trampoline Park | Lindon

There are few things my kids love more then what they like to call "jump places." Their idea of heaven is any place where they can run and jump and play and Airborne in Lindon (they also have a location in Draper) is as good as it gets. My kids, ages 5 and 2 were wide eyed and ready to go from the second we walked. We quickly filled out their waivers, removed our shoes and we were ready to play. Airborne is a huge facility with lots of wall to wall trampolines, trampoline dodgeball and basketball areas, platform jumping

Sleepy Hollow Wagon Ride Coupon

The Sleepy Hollow wagon ride has been on my list of things to do for a couple years now. I'm not a big fan of haunted houses and my crew is still a bit young for that sort of thing but we still wanted to do something spooky this year that the whole family could enjoy. You guys, this is it! Just the right amount of spook mixed with a thrilling experience that is super unique. The horse drawn wagon is just the right amount of bumpy on the dirt path as you wind around Midways Soldier Hollow while listening

Vineyard's Sports Park and Splash Pad

Lisel is here to tell us all about the newest park and splash pad in Vineyard Utah! Summer is winding down, but there are still plenty of hot days ahead! We went to check out the new Vineyard splash pad and it was awesome! It is the largest splash pad in Utah County on 18 acres of land. On this land there is also bike trails, pickle ball and tennis courts, a soccer field, basketball hoops, a pavilion, zip lines, and a ropes course style playground. Our favorite part about this splash pad was the slide! Olive, my toddler, went

McBride Briar Berry Patch | Mapleton

Pick your own Raspberries and Blackberries in Utah Valley! My kids and I love PYO (Pick Your Own) farms! Not only is it a great way to teach kids about where our food comes from and how it grows but it's also a great way to support local farmers! I love being able to go to a farm, talk with the owners, learn about their crops and buy the freshest fruits/vegetables! Recently I visited the most darling Berry patch in Utah Valley and trust me, you want to end your Summer break picking buckets of fresh raspberries and blackberries! McBride

Stanton Cherries | Pick Your Own

Monica just sent these photos last night! Pick your own cherries at Stanton Cherries in Payson! Nothing is better than fresh cherries and nothing is more fun than picking your own! Monica spent two hours with her kids picking cherries. It may be hot outside, but these are worth it! Stanton's Cherries has Bing, Lambert and Rainier variety. My family and I just got done pitting three 5 gallon buckets full of cherries (that we scavenged from a neighbor.) I've been pitting, then freezing cherries for years. This year I just dehydrated some cherries for the first time too! Pitting
