Union Grill | Ogden Restaurant Week | Grubbin'

It’s no secret. We love Ogden over here at The Salt Project. We’re incredibly proud of this little town and all that it’s become. Ogden is filled to the brim with character and charm. It’s a town that prides itself in supporting each other while raising families. Kym, the owner of Union Grill which is in the Historic Union Station, was kind enough to host us at Union Grill this weekend during Ogden Restaurant Week. After sitting down with her for a few moments, we realized the vibe of today’s Ogden City is something that many people worked hard to

Union Station Inside Tour | Ogden | Field Trippin' | Adventurin'

Welcome to the amazing Union Station of Ogden Utah! 4 Museums, 2 Galleries, 1 Historic Train Station and a restaurant Back in the day, Union Station was the place of the west. Union Station used to bring in 100 trains a day! Can you even imagine? I don't know about you, but I've only seen maybe 4 or 5 trains at a time. The benches above are the original benches. Stephanie and I were talking how our great-grandparents and grandparents sat on those benches. My great grandpa actually came to America to help build the railroads. Such a rich history

Recently, Auburn Soul (ie Steph) and I went to a conference in Ogden. We listened to the Mayor speak about the history of Ogden and it was mind blowing. For the first 100 years of Ogden, every train in America had to stop at Union Station to fill up on water. (Just imagine my brain going "POOF.") Can you even imagine? My grandpa was a big train man, he could tell you the route of every train in America. He lived in Iowa but came all the out to Ogden because of the train history and to go to the
