NHMU Highlights Tour

We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Natural History Museum on the U of U campus! There is so much to see we usually spend all day and still end up skipping a few things. I was so excited when they invited us down to experience their new highlight tour, because with 5 little ones I sometimes don't get to read every plaque and know exactly what I am looking at. Also, they shared some cool stories and facts that are sort of 'insider knowledge' and aren't actually listed anywhere on their signage. The tours are only an additional $2 for adults

Hop on the FREE Jingle Bus for a Tour of Downtown Salt Lake City

If you think you've seen everything downtown Salt Lake City has to offer during the holiday season (Temple Square lights, Macy's candy windows, Ballet West's Nutcracker, etc.), hop on the FREE Jingle Bus for a different view of the city sights at night. My kids were super excited to ride the Jingle Bus. My family and I hopped on at the City Creek Center stop (one of five stops along the clockwise route), and rode the bus through all of its stops, hopping on and off as we pleased. Roadtrippin' | Silver Reef Ghost Town | Southern Utah

We met up with our friends from Armelle blog in Silver Reef (between St. George and Cedar City) for a tour of the Ghost Town. We had a guide take us through the 3 room museum. Then we got a map to explore the grounds. The museum had a scavenger hunt for the kids to check off as our guide told us interesting stories and facts about the artifacts in the museum. There were several old ruins of buildings left standing. Most of the town had burned down or been hauled away to build surrounding towns. The kids had fun
