What Makes Conestoga Ranch so Magical

Today, I woke up in my own bed and found myself a little upset that a truck was roaring up the road at 6:15 in the morning. Then, the dog needed to go out and then proceeded to bark for 20 minutes, then baby woke up... Let’s go back to two days ago, when my little family woke up in a wagon at Conestoga Ranch. All was quiet, serene and nearly perfect. Magic. Pure Magic. While Stephanie and her family have stayed at Conestoga Ranch before, this was my first time.My husband and I have been talking extensively about what

Poppies and Fireflies in Utah? Oh my!

Guess how we found out about these poppy fields? From you. Angie sent us an e-mail with directions and photos (above.) So of COURSE we had to run up to Mantua to check it out! We love hearing from fellow Utahns. Keep using the hashtag #thesaltproject. Or e-mail! Mantua Poppy Fields I can't tell you how many times we've driven past Mantua and never ever stopped there. We've always coveted the area, but never actually stopped. We know the poppies don't last forever, but it looks like there were a bunch more getting ready to bloom. I think it would

Butler Wash Cliff Dwellings | South of Blanding

After getting some info from the Monticello Visitor Center, I now had a game plan. Part of this day plan included a hike to Butler Wash that let to some amazing Cliff Dwellings. Who even KNEW that Utah has Cliff Dwellings? Not this gal, nor her husband, but we could just be ill informed... This hike is only about 45 minutes away from Monticello. We arrived at the trailhead, ran to the biffy bathrooms, packed up the kids, some water, snacks and we were off! Butler Wash is only a half mile hike one way, so we took our time
