Parowan Gap Petroglyphs | 12 Utah Staycations

We pull up, after Harmony's suggestion that we visit, but before reading her post about Parowan Gap, and my first thought was, "we came all this way for a petroglyph"? Well, I jumped on the blog, luckily I had just enough service to see her post and discovered there was WAY more than meets the eye. As we walked through the canyon there were dozens of petroglyphs. I was inspiring and humbling to see these ancient writing all over the rocks. I was totally geeking out actually. This is the first one, but just wait... This place is like an
South Ogden Nature Park Splash Pad & Park harm Sat, 06/23/2018 - 22:06
South Ogden Nature Park Splash Pad & Park is one of my favorites places to visit to beat the heat. If you've been following along on stories, you've seen me hit this park up a few times in the past couple weeks. I think I like it because it has a big kid park and then a small kid park right next to the Splash Pad. I also don't feel like it's SUPER busy, but then again, I'm a get-there-right-when-everything-opens to help beat the crowds. Which means it might be a little cooler outside, but I feel like kids don't

Fishing the Twenty-First Street Pond in Ogden

You may recall me lamenting about fishing with kids. Just a few months after going to Cold Springs Trout Farm, my kids have turned completely around. Suddenly, they love fishing and suddenly, they love just sitting there waiting for the fish to bite! In their defense, maybe I've just expected them to be horrible while fishing. Maybe it was the location or maybe it was the fact they had their own little fishing poles. We went fishing at the Twenty First Street Pond in Ogden. We've fished this pond many times before, with no luck. For the first time in
LaBeau's Drive-In & Bear Lake Bike Barn KOA harm Thu, 05/24/2018 - 22:03
Bear Lake Bike Barn KOA was kind enough to sponsor the Salt Project with some surrey bikes this past weekend. Have you ever ridden a Surrey bike before? Have you ever done a Chinese Fire Drill while 24 months pregnant on a surrey bike? (Peer pressure is still alive and well.) Well, let me tell you, it's kind of awkward and funny all at the same time. LaBeau's Drive-In 69 N Bear Lake Blvd, Garden City, UT 84028 Not far from the Bike Barn is LaBeau's Drive-In. I'm not gonna lie, those surrey bikes are kind of intense. After about

Biking at Snow Canyon with our Yuba Bike!

We headed to Southern Utah a few weeks ago so we could get in some warm weather biking! I love writing about our favorite biking partner, Yuba Cargo Bikes! I've been DYING to take my new Yuba Bike out of the garage. I've ridden my Yuba (his name is still pending, we are taking suggestions) only a handful of times and usually the kids and I are bundled up since it's been so cold. Originally, we were going to head to Zion National Park, but after hearing on the news that tourists would be flooding the area with at least

Poison Creek Trail Murals, Park City

Sadly, we can't find a trail head on the map for this awesome trail so i'll just have to tell you how to get there. There are 2 trail heads. The first is at the free parking garage behind main street. The enter trail runs behind Main Street. The second trail head is at the Skate park by the library. The trail is awesome! It has a very slight incline, it's paved, has bridges, goes through tunnels, has amazing murals, follows a small river, passes by Shoe Tree Park and it's stroller and wheel chair friendly! It took us about
