Woodland Fairies | Gardner Village

If your kids like fairies and magical things like that, Gardner Village is the place to go. From now until May 31, you can find woodland fairies in their tiny houses hidden throughout the shops and landscaping of Gardner Village. It's like a scavenger hunt for all things magical, and it's free! If you go on a Saturday, you can enjoy even more fantasy fun. On Saturdays, kids can join in a free fairy parade, enjoy face painting, tour miniature fairy houses, make fairy bracelets, and take a fairy garden class to make a fairy scene in a unique container

Spitz Downtown - Home of the Döner Kebab | Grubbin'

We found out about Spitz viz Instagram, the pictures of their food looked incredible and I quickly added it to my MUST TRY list ASAP! We were on a family field trip in Salt Lake and wanted to enjoy the blooms at Capital Hill while we were in the city, so we opted for take-out to have a picnic. The inside of Spitz was so awesome! I just had to share a few pics. We will definitely be eating in next time, or perhaps we'll eat al fresco on the covered patio. I'm a sucker for eating outside. The vibe

Salt Lake City Downtown Garden Stroll | Adventurin'

You've heard of the Gallery Stroll, but have you heard of downtown SLC's Garden Stroll? From April 1 - May 8, Main Street in Salt Lake City features several pop-up parks and indoor installations in between South Temple and 300 South. Designed by various architecture firms, landscape designers, artists, and more, these temporary structures are fun to explore with kids. My kids and I garden strolled this past weekend. We actually started at Temple Square to visit the world-class gardens there. (Side note: if you've never visited Temple Square in the spring, now is the time to go! Tulips galore!)

Cross E Ranch | Baby Animal Days | Adventurin'

Cross E Ranch is an old family farm in North Salt Lake. They are new to the scene as far as "baby animal days" and "pumpkin patches" go, but they have blown it out of the park! We were so impressed with both events, you would never guess that this was their first time pulling it off. Updated 2019 *Use Salt15 for 15% off ALL tickets! We are never one turn down an opportunity to hold baby animals and Cross E has THE BEST baby animal experience that we have been to. Hands down. They actually had Baby Animals, for

Mountain Man Rendezvous at Fort Buenaventura | Easter Weekend

It's one of our most favorite things of the year! We've been going to The Mountain Man Rendezvous for a few years now and I tell you, it's a must. Stephanie and I are still ridiculously infatuated with the Mountain Man Rendezvous. So much that Stephanie dressed her cute family the appropriate clothing. There are bunch of reasons why we love this event. Candy Cannon. I believe that most of the items you see at the Rendezvous have to be handmade. I'm such a sucker for anything handmade. It seems you can almost buy anything, like a bucket for a

The Prettiest, Easiest Hike | Silver Lake Loop Trail

I’m excited to share Silver Lake with you! Silver Lake is a place you have to know about! It’s the place we go to when we need to get out of the house and into nature but aren’t quite up for ditching the stroller and dragging the kids up a mountain. The Silver Lake trail might be the easiest hike you’ve ever been on. I can’t even bring myself to call it a hike, it’s more of a nature walk. BUT, it’s the prettiest nature walk you’ve ever been on. The path around Silver Lake is about ¾ mile long

Krishna Temple | Spanish Fork | Field Trippin'

I've been wanting to come to the Lotus Temple FOREVER! We drove by years ago and I haven't stopped thinking about it! It was truly majestic. Sometimes, I get super excited about things and I kind of get this goofy grin that I can't contain. This is one of those times. I love architecture and this place breathtaking. The kids were dying to go and look at the llama's, but we needed to eat first. Luckily, they do have a buffet. They had something for everyone, even dairy and egg free. It wasn't super great, but it wasn't too bad

Giveaway | Town Square Splash Pad | St. George | Roadtrippin'

Just down the street from Pioneer Park (here) is the The Red Rock Splash Pad located in Town Square. We stopped here everyday while we were visiting St. George. The kids (10m-9yrs) loved it! There was plenty of shade for me (ginger) and it is nice and open so it was easy to keep my eye on all for kids at once. It's located right at the heart of down town and is in walking distance of plenty of places to eat and several museums. We'll be sharing some of our newfound favorite places soon! ***GIVEAWAY*** Were you eyeballin' Zions
