Old Grist Mill | 12 Utah Staycations

OLD GRIST MILL in Kaysville is family-owned. They go in early to make fresh bread every day! We thought they would be perfect for sack lunch since it was the hottest day of the year. We wanted something fresh and light. We picked it up and brought it into Cherry Hill, luckily, Harmony brought the BOB stroller to carry it all. It was a bit of a balancing act, but we got it to our shady spot in the trees. Drinks too! All sandwiches are made to order, you pick every single item you want on it. We just called

Cherry Hill | 12 Utah Staycations

Cherry Hill! It's been around for over 50 years! What started out as a farm, then a place to camp and then a theme park has become quite the Davis County Icon. We're super excited to team up with Play in Davis to giveaway a whole Staycation + tickets to Cherry Hill! One of the best parts about Cherry Hill is that there is a spot for everyone to have fun! We took turnes going on the tube rides (without the kids) because we loved it! Even the adults have things to do. My husband kept saying how we had

Pioneer Park

New park alert!!! Pioneer Park in Kaysville is GORGEOUS! It's huge, spacious, new, huge, did I mention it's huge? These guys have it all, swings, slides, a little elevator, spider web, tunnels, things to climb, bridges, gorgeous walkways, lots of rocks to climb, bathrooms, and a giant barn with tables. Need I say more? Unfortunately, it was mid day when we went so it was blazing hot out, I wasn't feeling well, and the baby had just fallen asleep in the van, so I ran around to snap some photos really quick, then let the kids play for 15 minutes

Frisbee Golf at the DATC | Free

We were visiting a family friend in Pocatello and we were looking for a fun activity for both the adults and kids to enjoy together. Our friends introduced us to frisbee golf. It was the perfect activity for the gaggle of kids between our two families and the adults to do together. We have been hooked on frisbee golf ever since. We have been trying to visit any frisbee golf course next to us. Boy, we were excited when one was put nearby in Kaysville just a few weeks ago! It is located at the Davis Applied Technical College. Frisbee

Scary Hill at Cherry Hill

This last summer was the first time I’d ever been to Cherry Hill. Sure, I’d driven by it my entire life and always wondered what happened at that giant ship off of Highway 89. You can read about it here, to prepare for next year and warmer weather. This fall partnered up with Cherry Hill to visit their Scary Hill. Since all things Halloween are important right now, we visited last weekend. We weren’t quite sure what to expect, especially with the word “Scary” with toddlers. It wasn’t anything too scary come to find out. First stop, we heading to

9/11 Memorial | Kaysville

Last September we went on a short trip to Utah State University’s Botanical Center in Kaysville. The kids had fun running off some energy on their little dirt trails and looking for bugs in the pond water. Then we headed up to their developed area to view the 9/11 memorial. The memorial features three Utahns that were killed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks back in 2001. Mary Alice Wahlstrom and her daughter, Carolyn Beug, were aboard American Airlines flight 11 when it slammed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center. The women were on their way home after

Favorite Dog Friendly Trails | Oh My Dog

My kids love going hiking and I swear my dog Bokeh knows when we are going hiking. He just jumps in the car with us like its his own personal field trip. He even sits in his own seat. Right up front in the middle. One of our favorite trails is the Bair Creek Trail in Kaysville. It is family friendly, pet friendly, and toddler approved. You could easily take a stroller. It was mid March when we went. Last time we went in June, it was so green! Check it out HERE. But this time, there were still a

Camping Fail

We are big into camping in our family. We try to always go on a couple of camping trips each summer as a family. I just think it is such an affordable, memorable and fun experience together. I love that the kids (and let’s face it, the adults too) get away from electronic devices and distractions and we all get to reconnect and spend quality time together as a family. As the kids get older and involved in more things it has become harder and harder to find the time to get away as often, so I was super excited
