St. George | 12 Utah Staycations

We had a spare minute and found ourselves about 20 minutes away from St. George and 20 minutes away from sunset. So we headed straight to The Crack! This is our favorite fast adventure and it just isn't a visit to St. George without conquering The Crack. We've never hiked it in the dark before. It was dusk, but the crack its self was super dark. It is definitely harder in the dark, so I don't recommend it if you are hiking for the first time. This is looking down from the top. We just love that red rock. And

Oscar's Cafe | 12 Utah Staycations

Oscar's Cafe is a popular place to eat right in Springdale Utah. We were able to visit on our 11th Staycation and it was DELICIOUS! Many of the places in Springdale were showing off their Christmas decorations and we didn't mind a bit. You can choose to eat inside or outside. Even though it was the middle of November, it was a beautiful night to eat on the patio. The chips and salsa were spot on. Tiny Vesper was eating hers with a spoon she loved it so much. The kids had happy meals with some homemade corndogs and fries

Peach City | 12 Utah Staycations

We've been long-time fans of Peach City in Brigham City! We were happy to visit once again. You can either drive-in and eat in your car or eat on the patio or eat inside. We ordered the favorites of Brigham City! Since it was Peach Days and it was quite crowded, they had a hostess that helped seat everyone super efficiently. I was quite impressed with their system. We had the Bleu Cheese Burger, the Turkey Burger, shakes, fries and waffle fries! Everything is always delicious. After swimming at Crystal Hot Springs we even went back for ice cream. We

Idle Isle Cafe | 12 Utah Staycations

Idle Isle Cafe is the OLDEST restaurant in Utah! It's a family-owned business that has quite a few years behind them. I think they said Idle Isle Cafe opened up in 1920! Idle Isle Cafe has so many vintage original pieces and architecture it's amazing! After watching the Peach Days Parade and then hitting up some rides we were ready to eat! By the way, the parade was STILL going! That's one amazing parade, it was almost 2 hours long! Because of Peach Days, Idle Isle Cafe changed up their menu to incorporate all things Peach! If you can, try

The Rusted Spoon | 12 Utah Staycations

The Rusted Spoon is a super cute diner located right off Utah's Famous Fruit Highway in Perry! We happened upon The Rusted Spoon a few years ago and LOVED the atmosphere and food! It's a good family friendly, party place! The salads were fresh and just what we needed. You can order breakfast ANY time and for some reason, that sounded super delicious. Can you believe the size of this kids pancake meal? Or the kids WAFFLES?! I thought it was my meal? Nope. Orion could barely believe his eyes. The waffle was REALLY tasty and of course everything was

Mantua Monster at the Little Valley Country Store | 12 Utah Staycations

On our way back from Inspiration Point we stopped for lunch at Little Valley Country Store in Mantua! Home of the 25 cent ice cream cones and the Mantua Monster Burger!! It's one of our favorite places to stop in Mantua (also one of the few but the Poppies!) Not only is the Little Valley Country Store an awesome place to get some food. There are desserts and you can camp or rent cabins if you want to stay! This was Harmony's first time laying her eyes on the Mantua Monster and she even ate it! Well, she shared half

Maddox Ranch House | 12 Utah Staycations

How many times have you driven by Box Elder County's iconic Maddox Ranch House? Too many?! Have you ever stopped?! Because if you haven't, you haven't lived! Maddox Ranch House is right at the mouth of Sardine Canyon and is one of the most family-friendly places around! Maddox is known for a few things; raspberry butter, their rolls, Fried Chicken and the smells! Rumor has it that Maddox piped the smells from the bakery into the foyer area! If so, we are NOT complaining. We forgot how delicious their rolls are! It's been a while since any of us had

Bowery Haven Resort and Restaurant | 12 Utah Staycations

Our last and final stop of the trip was eating at Bowery Haven in Fish Lake. It's also a resort, but we were here for the food! Thanks to this sweet gal below from Utah's Trail Country! She put together an AWESOME itinerary for Sevier County! The Bower Haven is a popular stop and it's perfect for families and bigger parties. We ordered a slew of kids meals, burgers, corndogs and salads! Their fries were top-notch, I don't think I've ever had thin wedges like that before. Delish. It's an awesome place to stop for a quick bite if you

Little Wonder Cafe | 12 Utah Staycations

Little Wonder Cafe is one of THE places to eat in Richfield! Located just off Main Street, where they've been since 1929! That's a long time to be in business! We've heard it right from a local's mouth that the French Toast is AMAZING! The kids got a stack of Strawberry Pancakes to share. Their portions are large! I mean, look at all that bacon. Also, if you are a corned beef and hash kind of person, try it, you won't regret it. Lots of famous people have come through town! Luckily, these local guys didn't' mind us taking their

GG's Marketplace | 12 Utah Staycations

GG’s is a local Grocery Store located in Monroe Utah. We heard it from the locals that this is the best place for donuts! Their donuts are made fresh every day and so is everything else on their grill! Our kids favorite was the Alligator Jaws that are local favorite for sure! We tried a few different donuts and seriously, So. Dang. Good. It's pretty casual dining there. There was none of the usual hustle and bustle that Northern Utah has, it was a pretty, easy, going pace. Honestly, it was so nice to slow down. We saw quite a
