Pintsize Picassos - Black Light Paint Night

We had a friend reach out on Instagram and tell us about this fun family owned business in Bountiful. She said we should check it out because her and her daughter had such a great experience. So... we scheduled the next available class! Which just happened to be a Black Light paint class. Locke had work, but Breck didn't! So I took 80% of the kids to try out Pintsize Picassos. The last time I did a paint class was in 2020 during covid quarantine. Do you remember when we all had to stay home for 3 weeks! Seems like

Francis Peak | 12 Utah Staycations

What screams Davis County more than Francis Peak? Or better known to the locals as the "Golf Balls!" We were staying at the Hyatt at Farmington Station for our Staycation and you have the perfect view of the Golf Balls. When I first brought up the idea to Stephanie, she was slightly terrified. The drive up is not for the faint of heart. The dirt road is windy and sometimes it's one way. It's actually the reason the Car Graveyard Hike exists. If you can make it all the way to the top, it's all worth the fright. The view

Weekend Vasectomy Clinic

As many of you know, we had our 5th baby in 2017! It was a surprise pregnancy and we have lovingly referred to our little surprise as #readsbonusbaby. And he has totally lived up to it! He is a bonus in every way, such a good baby and the kids are absolutely obsessed! After baby #4 we had been considering a vasectomy and researching our options. After Dan talked to countless friends about their vasectomy experience he was ready to pick a clinic and schedule the procedure. Three days later I found out I was pregnant with baby #5! Once

Best Mountain Drive in Davis County | Adventurin'

Why is this the best Mountaineous Drive in Davis County? You are driving through the great outdoors at the VERY top of the mountains. It's at least a 2 hour drive. The view can only be better from an airplane. It's the only one. Last year, in October, we went for a little drive. My dad bought a new FJ Cruiser and we decided to try it out on the rugged mountains of Davis County. As I mentioned yesterday, this is one of my favorite drives ever. Especially in the fall. Really, you cannot get a better view unless you

South Davis Recreation Center | Bountiful | Adventurin'

With the start of summer we made a trip down to the South Davis Rec Center to let the kids swim and play in their outdoor splash area. Every time we go to the Bountiful park they see that fun pirate ship play area and ask to go, so we finally obliged and took them to explore. Swimming They loved it! The water around the ship was shallow enough that the toddlers could run around and feel like they were swimming. (I did put ‘floaties’ on my little ones, just in case they ventured too far or slipped, but for

Bountiful Lake | Bountiful | Adventurin'

Oh, Utah. Why do you have to be so hot? We decided last week to head over to Bountiful Lake. I was kind of thinking that we would be able to wade in the water? Come to find out, you probably don't want to swim/wade in the water. It was kind of stinky/fishy. Nonetheless, we parked the bikes under the shade and Melinda decided to venture out into the murky waters. Melinda was out with the majority of the kids, the #ohniceandchubbybabies and I decided to hang out in the shade for a while. Brother played with the Bocce Balls

Sip 'n Swirl | Bountiful | Grubbin'

With temperatures in the triple digits we decided a cool treat was a necessity. So we dug around a little to find a fun new place to take the kids and came across Sip’n Swirl in Bountiful. They offer sort of a smorgasbord of delicious treats and drinks with a few savory dishes to balance things out. Picture the frozen yogurt bars you see everywhere, on steroids! Seriously, so many options it took me awhile to narrow down what I really wanted. (Which ended up being a couple of different things, because I am indecisive and couldn’t settle on one
