Botanical Garden & Riverwalk - Ogden

Next stop on the Ogden River Parkway is the Botanical Gardens and the Park! There are bathrooms, a playground, river access, huge grass field, bike path, and more! And its all free to the public. Check out the first part of the trail HERE. Our kids have all learned to long board on THESE boards. They are a great price and really great quality! And very easy to learn on. And we love these helmets.

Park City FALL Staycation

Park City in the fall is our absolute favorite. The leaves start changing sooner than they do in the valley and it's a little cooler up in the mountains. We had a lovely stay at the Snow Flower in Park City. It was awesome because they have a kitchen and multiple bedrooms and bathrooms which helps so much when you have a family of 7. It would also be fun to stay with another family. The pool and hot tub were the highlight of our stay. (FYI, Snow Flower reached out with a special discount and they are keeping their

Woodward Park City - BMX Heaven

Ok, I'm going to be totally honest, we aren't sportsy people. There, I said it. I mean, we like to have fun, we own bikes, but my kids just got long boards this year during quarantine. Our skill level is beginner in every sense of the word. So coming to a place like this felt a little overwhelming to me. Also the fact that I have 87 kids (actually 5, feels like 87). And that my kids ages range 2-15. It's a lot to consider when we are doing family activities. Having said all of that, I didn't really know

Poison Creek Bike Trail Park City

We love the Poison Creek Trail in Park City. Its a great bike/board trail. The last couple times we have walked parts of it, but this time around we happened to have some boards in the van so they kids were thrilled to be able to explore farther. The trail ends (or starts if you wish) at the McPolin Farm in Park City. We started at the end of Main Street and followed the trail under several tunnels, then we drove to the farm and found out that the trail connected! The Farm has parking just across the street, go

Top Bike trails to beat the Quarantine Blues with WOOM

This Covid-19 quarantine mandate has taken some getting used to. But one thing we have put at the top of our priority list has been spending time outside everyday rain or shine. Luckily it has been more shine these last few weeks. One of our favorite outdoor activities, while practicing social distancing is riding bikes. Ask my kids, their favorite of all the bikes in our garage is definitely our Woom Bikes. They are light weight and high quality. This little Woom 2 Bike is on its 2nd kid, and soon to be it's third! And it is still going

Free Beach in Garden City | 12 Utah Staycations

On our last day at Conestoga Ranch, we decided that we needed to end our trip with another bike ride to Bear Lake! We got everyone on their bikes and bike 1 mile to a Free Beach in Garden City. We seriously love that Conestoga Ranch has complimentary bikes for their visitors! It was a beautiful day! The kids hiked up their pants and waded quite far out into blue Bear Lake. We saw a bunch of pelicans fly by too! It was the perfect way to end our Staycation at Bear Lake and Conestoga Ranch! Don't forget, we've got

LaBeau's Drive-In & Bear Lake Bike Barn KOA

Bear Lake Bike Barn KOA was kind enough to sponsor the Salt Project with some surrey bikes this past weekend. Have you ever ridden a Surrey bike before? Have you ever done a Chinese Fire Drill while 24 months pregnant on a surrey bike? (Peer pressure is still alive and well.) Well, let me tell you, it's kind of awkward and funny all at the same time. LaBeau's Drive-In 69 N Bear Lake Blvd, Garden City, UT 84028 Not far from the Bike Barn is LaBeau's Drive-In. I'm not gonna lie, those surrey bikes are kind of intense. After about

9-Line Bike Track

Now that it’s autumn I’m getting nervous about the snow. In February and March, as the mountains and all my favorite canyons were still covered in snow, I had a LONG LIST of all that I would do when the snow was gone and summer was finally here. My list mostly consisted of hikes I would take my boys on and places we would explore. And then summer came and we were too busy with splash pads, swimming, reunions, friends, parks, and living “summer-awesome-life”. Now it’s getting cold and the days are getting SHORTER and I am grasping at whatever

Biking the Pa'Rus Trail in Zion National Park

Who doesn’t love a family bike ride on a warm summer night? It's what summer dreams are made of. Family bike rides are such a great way to get some exercise, get the kids out of the house and enjoy some scenery. Take that family bike ride to the Pa’Rus trail in Zion and what you get is pure summer magic. I have three kiddos, a seven-year-old (Lucy), four-year-old (Willow), and one almost two-year-old (Phoenix). We could have loaded our bikes up and taken them with us on our adventure, but instead, we took the easy route and got our
