We LOVE the Hill Air Force Base Air Show every year! We usually watch it from our backyard, but this year we thought we would get a closer look. 600 thousand people traveled to Davis County to watch the show, so I don't recommend using I-15 to get anywhere. The traffic is bad! But we found some great spots to watch the show for free and avoid the crowds.

First spot is off Highway 193 on the side of the road heading to the landfill. Romantic, I know. But there is a big field to the west and it's the perfect backdrop.

The next spot is the also off hwy 193 further west. Sand Ridge Park on Church street. There were several people there with chairs, blankets and umbrellas enjoying the show, plus the park has a huge grassy field for kids to play, a covered pavilion, bathrooms, and a jungle gym.

Another great location might by Northridge high school parking lot, which is just south of HAFB.

Where's your favorite place to watch the Air Show?
