South Ogden Nature Park Splash Pad & Park is one of my favorites places to visit to beat the heat. If you've been following along on stories, you've seen me hit this park up a few times in the past couple weeks.
I think I like it because it has a big kid park and then a small kid park right next to the Splash Pad. I also don't feel like it's SUPER busy, but then again, I'm a get-there-right-when-everything-opens to help beat the crowds. Which means it might be a little cooler outside, but I feel like kids don't feel temperatures like adults too.
There's lots of grass and some shade trees and a large pavilion. I've seen and attending many birthday parties here at the Splash Pad.
I'm not sure if it's the norm for all Splash Pads, but this one has a fence around it and I kind of like it that way.
Keeps all the kids somewhat in, or out.
While it's not a super fancy splash pad, I feel like it has all the necessary things, like buckets, guns, spritzers and fountains that shoot from the ground.
My kids have finally accepted that water in their face is an okay thing, so the buckets are finally a cool thing.
Between the two playgrounds, pavilion, paved sidewalks and splash pad, the kids seem to come in and out, so maybe that helps with the crowd control.
Either way, it's our go-to. If you ever see me there say "Hey!"
