Riverdale BMX Bike Park

We've become recent mountain bikers...by recent I mean this is the second time in two days that we've visited a bike park. This particular BMX Bike park is in Riverdale. A few weeks ago, Orion brought his bike along on one our favorite hikes. He biked around the dirt trails like a pro and I could actualy walk much faster on the hike. Since then, I've been thinking more and more about bike parks for him. Suddenly, I realized that it was December and that SNOW would be coming soon.

I really like this bike park. It's small enough that I'm not super worried about the kids going off a cliff or getting out of sight. This other park we visited yesterday was probably more fun for the kids, but it was so big that I couldn't see them all the time.

The kids basically think that they are pros now. As a mom, I love seeing the confidence soar and zip around on their bikes!

Luckily, there wasn't anyone else there. I'm not sure how busy this park gets, since I've only been once, but I imagine it gets used quite often.

I was surprised at how the kids DIDN'T crash that often. Sure, they would crash once in a while, but it was usually from slipping on the snow.

I was a little worried about my little girl, Aiko. She's not as confident/daring on her new Woom Plus Bike, but she started zipping around after a few minutes!

We had bike races and the kids LOVED racing against each other. I've heard they have lots of bike races for kids like this around Utah, so I'm going to be watching out for them next year!

Last year, my cousin, Jordan, whom I consider an XTREME sport kind of guy, showed a video of him riding around this park with his 9 month old baby in a carrier on his back and the baby was LAUGHING! It was crazy, but just shows what you can do with babies!

Orion and his buddy Jack, are tiny 4 year olds, but man, they LOVE to bike.

One day I'm going to bring my bike, I'll just need to find sitters for the two littlest. While Baby V loved wandering around going up and down the tiny hills, it could be dangerous for her if I wasn't there watching her the entire time.

Now that we are obsessed, we want to know where more Utah bike parks are at?! Tell us below!
