Hee Haw Farms | Pumpkin Patch
Continuing our Pumpkin Patch round-up is Hee Haw Farms in Pleasant Grove! This 157-year old family run farm offers a genuine fall farm experience which is fun for the whole family!
More than just a pumpkin patch, Hee Haw Farms has something for everyone! Corn box, bunny hutch, silo slide, corn cannons, corn maze, animal train plus hayrides and that is just a small list of all the fun activities. The farm also boosts lots of different varieties of animals, such as goats, cows, pigs, chickens, roosters, cats, bunnies and ponies! Many are located in the petting farm! You can easily spend a few hours here and not get bored. My kids would have stayed all day, even when it was starting to rain they demanded we stay and experience all the farm has to offer.
One of the things I love about Hee Haw Farms is that all the activities offered really encourage the parents to participate and join in the fun! We didn't sit back and just watch the kids have fun, we helped feed the goats, went down the slides, got in the corn box, shot corn out of cannons and played tic-tac-toe with pumpkins! We rode the Hayride to the corn maze and did our best not getting lost, since the corn stalks are incredibly tall in some spots!
The maze is perfectly suited for the whole family and should take you about 30 minutes to get through, unless you have a little one that likes to stop every couple of feet and point out the corn!
They also offer a Haunted Tale Hayride which is suited more for older children, teens and adults. A haunted tale is told as they drive you to the corn maze at night and then you try and make your way through without getting spooked! If you go in the evenings you can enjoy a fire and purchase individual s'mores kits from Leroy's Grub Shack!
You also should mark your calendars for October 28th when Hee Haw Farms and the Giant Pumpkin Growers present their 9th annual Giant Pumpkin Drop! Starting at 12 noon they drop giant pumpkins from high in the air! It is a local favorite and all the proceeds go to families in need during the Christmas season!
