Clark Planetarium | Salt Lake City
How many of you have been to the Old Hansen Planetarium? We went quite a bit as kids, I totally remember a skeleton riding a bicycle, the pendellum swinging like 3 levels around the circular level. I probably hadn't been to Planetarium since it was moved out of the old Salt Lake Library building. I'll admit, I am kind of sad it moved out of the historic building, it had a whole different feel to it.
The kids particularly loved the globe. I have no idea what it's called, but even my little baby loved seeing this.
It was kind of weird, Aiko was at home sick, while I had Orion. It was weird having just one baby to watch. We went with our cousins and they are a little older and much more interested in science.
This elevator though, I thought was crazy. It's the biggest elevator I've ever seen and felt that it needed it's own picture.
The best part of this, is that it was free! The only charges they have are for the movies. It was perfect for the New Year's Day freezing weather.
So if you are in Salt Lake, make sure to make a quick stop at the Clark Planetarium.

7:00 pm Sunday-Wednesday;
10:00 pm on Thursday;
11:00 pm on Friday & Saturday.
The last show in the ATK IMAX theatre begins at
7:00 pm Sunday-Wednesday;
8:00 pm Thursday-Saturday.
Prices for Hansen Dome and ATK IMAX documentary show tickets are as follows:
$9.00 for adults/teens/seniors
$7.00 for children 12 and under
$7.00 matinee tickets for adults for programs beginning before 5 pm, except special engagements.
