Bathroom remodel on a budget - with Miracle Method

Oh this bathroom. When we first moved in, it had a matching blue toilet that complimented the blue tub and sink. Cream 80's vibe linoleum covered the floor, a yellow tinted plexiglass sunlight covered the ceiling, and there was a 1/2 inch thick glob of cracked calking that lined the edge of the tub. Of the 4 bathrooms in our fixer upper, this one grossed me out so bad that I locked the door the day we moved in, and vowed that no one would ever use it until it was remodeled.

Flash forwards a few days, with 4 kids needing to go to the bathroom and take baths, we ended up unlocking the door and using the ugly bathroom for the last 4 years. We had issues arise with the other bathrooms so they ended up getting remodeled before this one.

Our last remodel took us exactly 12 months to finish! And we went totally over budget. So we were not only determined to do this bathroom as quickly as possible, but we set a super tight budget of $2k.

Last month, the glorious day of remodeling this place finally arrived! You guys, it was like Christmas Day! We teamed up with our local Miracle Method here in Salt Lake to have our bathtub and shower area refinished. I didn't know how it would look, but after seeing their before and after photos on their site I was sold!

Also, the cost and time involved was so impressive. By the time we roved the tub and tile, replaced it, re-tiled and finished the plumbing. We would have spent our budget before even getting to the rest of the bathroom.

Our amazing refinish technician. He worked his magic from beginning to end in just 2 days!

After

Miracle Method refinished our tub and shower area. We used left over tile from out last project for the floor. We got a $130 butcher block countertop from ikea for the counter, a $40 light from home depot, $39 sink and $49 faucet from wayfair, towels, shower curtain and rug from Target, the "loo" sign from Ballard Design on-line. Hooks for towels are antique  from a swap meet in Texas year ago.

The thing that I am most impressed with, is that Miracle Method removed and cleaned all the calk. Now it is one smooth transition from tile to tub. It turned out so beautiful!

We found our shower curtain, towels, and rug at Target.

I'm proud to report that we came in under budget and that includes money we spent on paint and textiles.

We highly recommend Miracle Method as a quick and budget friendly option for a bathroom remodel. They were very professional and friendly. They did a great job and had wonderful customer service.
