Giveaway | Museum of Natural Curiosity | Thanksgiving Point | JDAWGS | Lehi

Welcome, to one of the most amazing Museums in Utah! For reals though, how come they didn't have this stuff when I was a kid? Museums nowadays have just blown my mind.  The Museum of Natural Curiosity has over 400 interactive displays.

Water Works

You could tell we were first timers.  Our eyes were just wide open the whole time, plus we were "ooooing," and "aweeeeing." It wasn't just the kids either, we the parents were AMAZED.

We probably should have come here last, as it was one of the favorites, but also, very wet.

Maybe, if you stood long enough in the wind tunnel, you would have dried off.

There were even rain boots and rain jackets to help the kids from getting so wet.

The baby/toddler water table was probably the the best part. You just stick your baby in the sits and they can just splash around and dangle their little feet below. There were some babies there that were the pros. They had on their wet suits, so you know they had been there before.

Exploratorium exhibit in the Innovation Gallery

This exhibit was much more scientific and less crowded.

It's a good place to hang out for a while if the crowds get to you!

Kidopolis

Kidopolis was just as mind boggling. The toddler areas keep in the littlest while the older kids ran all over.

There are secret passageways, a magic shop, a train station, a theater, all in the name of education!

Basically, we had to tear our kids away each time, so we'd have enough time to see everything. After Kidopolis, we headed outside for some fresh air.  It was getting kind of crowded with all the field trippers!

Discovery Garden

Getting a little lost in the mazes was super fun.

Feeding the giant Koi fish was just a little creepy. The fish were not afraid of you, especially if you had some food, or fingers.

The gardens were beautiful and the Lilacs smelled heavenly. We even passed the Tulip Festival (it was just on the other side of the fence.)

After winding down and relaxing in the sand for a bit, we decided it was time to take a break and head in for some grub!

Putting our Ogden Made bag to good use!

JDAWGS

I, Harmony, have a very special place in my heart for hot dogs, polish dogs, sauerkraut, mustards...all of the above.

Their 8" dawgs are made in small batches from fresh and never frozen beef. No GMOs and No MYSTERY MEATS! 1/4 pound of deliciousness. Plus, their buns are from a local shop too.

Their special house sauce is a secret, only 3 people know how to make it.  They make it at the warehouse and keep the windows covered up. They are so secretive, they don't even keep all the ingredients in once place.  It was grandma's recipe that's been tweaked, but still made with much love.

We have just one word.  "HANGRY!" You've probably heard about it.  You know, when you are so hungry, that you are angry, therefore you are "HANGRY."  We may have waited to eat just a little to long, because we truly felt sorry for the 4 people sitting behind us. Things got just a little LOUD.

Once we got all the kids settled and eating, because it really does take a village to feed 11 kids, we were able to sit and talk to some of the workers and find out all the cool stuff about JDAWGS.

Favorite JDAWGS

Directors Cut: Everything

Rated R: Everything but special request

5o: Mayo and Sauce

PG-13: everything with out the jalapenos. (Harmony's Fave)

Colton's Favorite (worker) : Dispickable - No Pickles.

Umm, this photo may have started to make me salivate. For some reason, sauerkraut does that to me, ever since I craved it while being pregnant.

$7 Bucks for Chips, drink and a DAWG! Can't get much simpler than that!

After filling our bellies, we decided it was time to go back and see the Rainforest. We were hoping the crowds would have died down a little bit too.

Rainforest

We must have saved the very best for the last.  I was worried at first that it was part of the ropes course, but the ropes course was WAY UP on the very tippy top of the building. The Rainforest was just so cool.

Seriously, between the Dark Mazes, the rope bridges, the toddler section, hanging in an airplane, crawling through the spider webs, slides, I mean really. I didn't see the older kids for a good hour.

Parents could either join the kids, or walk through the stairways to watch them go.

The toddler section below was cool too. Since my little man loves playing with balls, the little ball ramp was his favorite, plus he could go up and down some stairs to the slide. It was the perfect place to sit and people watch.

On our way out, we decided to go outside for just a quick minute and a good thing we did too! We would have missed the zip line and see-saws!

This museum is definitely an all day kind of place.  Plus they have picnic tables and a bunch of shade for some quick naps.

I haven't been to the museum yet-so I don't have a favorite part (it all looks amazing and I am sure my kids would love it)! I'm a plain hot dog person, but the hotdogs themselves look delicious!

Love the fact that Jdawgs doesn't use any fillers. The director's cut sounds yummy! The water works sounds so fun. My kids would love it! Never been to either place. Thanks for the chance to try both.

I'm a purist so I'd be good with just sauce. Also I don't think we checked out the Rainforest so that could be fun!
