Zeek's Pie Shake Parlour | Grubbin'

Zeek's has been on my "list" of places to visit for about a year now. We were in Provo last week around lunch time, and they just happened to be right around the corner from where we were in down town Provo, so we went for some grub.

Alex and his wife bought this little shop about a year and a half ago. It's named Zeek's after his brother. The building has so much charm! It was a horse stable back in 1910, and then it later became a restaurant. It's changed from Mexican to burgers, and is now Zeek's! I love that it has so much history in the building. And you can just feel the love when you walk in. Alex was so warm and kind. There is NOTHING like a family owned shop. NOTHING. They are and will always be my favorite.

The "pie shake" was a must on my list to try (they put a slice of pie in a cup with some ice cream and blend. yes please) but little did I know, they are actually known for their fries! So tried regular (cut in house) and sweet potato. I loved both, Dan couldn't stop eating the regular, he said they were the best fries he's ever had!

Lots of love in this place. It kinda just felt like home.

How cute is it outside! Reminds me of Mckinney Texas (where I used to live,"tears" I sure miss that town)

open late.

The kids don't have soda often, but when they do... gulp gulp gulp.

fried egg. oh yeah! And the bun! I have to say, this was the best burger I've had in a LONG time. I barely got half of it down it was so big.

we tired the chocolate mouse pie shake

husband got the Provo burger with bacon.

Shake dipping is a must. Gotta raise them kids right!

The kids split a burger. They come with everything, fried onions, pickles, tomatoes, lettuce... we opted for half with everything, half with just cheese, and they customized it for us. Thanks Alex!

Gimmie that pie shake!

Next time y'all are in Provo, be sure to stop by and say hi to this sweet family owned burger spot. Tell them The Salt Project sent you and be sure to try the fries and dip your fries in your shake because its delicious. And you can thank us later.

Thanks for hosting us for lunch Zeek's! We are HUGE fans and can't wait to come again. You made us feel so welcome. The atmosphere was spot on, and the food was perfection!

We're in Provo all the time, and I've never heard of Zeek's! We'll certainly stop there the next time we're in Provo. Thanks for the great tip!
