Giveaway (Closed) | Ogden Eccles Dinosaur Park | Roar | Part 2

The Outside

Before you even head outdoors to the favorite (as our kids tell it) part of the Eccles Dinosaur Park don't forget to ask the front desk for your field guide.  See our previous post here

Go on your own little scavenger hunt and find out super cool facts about all the dino sculptures.  Plus, if you finish,  (or make an attempt) you can pick up a prize at the front desk.

You may notice a little toddler, or two, pushing the limits of the rope fences (mainly Aiko.) Seriously, teaching a two-year-old about boundaries is a big thing.  Every rope she would immediately go under and then run all over.

Here Riz is totally like "Someone keep that two years old under control people!"

This photo totally makes me want to go and watch Jurassic Park Movie...the first one, the last, were not my most favorite movies of all time.

One of our favorite Ogden gals, Mikaela from Indie Ogden, was able to join us, along with her cute toddler Scout.

It was a perfectly, weirdly, warm day in February.

The kids took off their shoes and ran around the sandpit, digging up dinosaur bones.

The playground there is SO cool.  Dinosaur sculptures, giant trees, toddler park, benches, trees, picnic areas, it's a great place to hang out.

Toddlers toddled around in sundresses.

We tried to get an epic photo with all the kids sliding down...it was an epic fail instead.

I spy....

We were right next to Rainbow Gardens, a local, eclectic, favorite souvenir shop and home of the Greenery Restaurants' ORIGINAL MORMON MUFFINS

Of course, we had to buy some.  They also have the recipe online as well.  I've actually made them and while they aren't exactly like the Greenery...they are DANG good.

Also includes a large cup of honey butter.  While they are kind of expensive, they are worth it once in a while, right?!  They come out warm and oh so delicious.

Breckyn, Locke and Riz worked super hard on the Field Guide, thus they got their prizes!

We all loved this park. Reasonably priced and something for everyone.   We only had the afternoon and would totally have packed a big old picnic had we been able to stay long, because really, it was an AMAZING day.  Even if you don't want to pay for the Dinosaur Park you can always walk the Weber River Trail that runs along the park.  You can even spy some Dinosaurs hiding in the brush!

We love this park! My two year old has so much fun feeding the ducks and "playing" with the dinos. What a fun experience. :)

We LOVE it there! My favorite part is the museum because my Uncle has a sculpture featured. Awesome. Haven't been able to take my kids there in years and now I'm ready to go!
