Out and About in September

We love September, when the temperatures start to cool off, kids are back in school, and the leaves are starting to change colors around Utah. Here is this month's must-do list that you need to get out and experience.

Dartside

We seriously love these guys and can't say enough about how much fun we and our kids had running around their indoor nerf gun arena. They are offering our readers a special discount during the month of September, if you mention The Salt Project, you can get a buy 2, get 1 free deal.

Stargazing

As the days start to shorten and the evenings cool off, now is the perfect time to take your family out to a stargazing party with the Salt Lake Astronomical Society. The views through their high powered telescopes will seriously amaze you!

Flag Rock

Always remember 9/11, this year we decided to honor the NYC firefighters by teaching our kids a little appreciation and taking them up to Flag Rock. At 1,353 vertical feet up, you get to hike the exact height of the World Trade Center Towers and look down at an amazing view of the Great Salt Lake.

Gilgal Sculpture Garden

So weird. That's all there is to it. If you haven't been to this little hidden gem in Downtown Salt Lake City, we recommend you check it out, the crazy sculptures and various carved references will have you wondering what in the heck you are looking at. If you really love art, check out our giveaway with the UMFA for a chance to win tickets to their British Masterpieces exhibit.

Snowbird Aerial Tram

Now is the perfect time to ride Snowbird's Aerial Tram. With the crisp autumn air starting to turn the leaves into a fiery display of colors across the mountain tops, the views this month are breathtaking and will leave you awestruck.

Would love to win the passes for UMFA. Saw you on studio5 today and felt pretty cool that I already follow you on IG. Glad I checked back on the blog because I wanted to do the star gazing. Now I've set a reminder so we can plan it out. Thank you! With 3 boys I'm so scatter brained!
