Why You Should Visit the Historic Town of Spring City
Wow! I can't believe it's been a whole year, somehow, I forgot to write all about my first experience to the Spring City Heritage Festival from 2018. We're giving away tickets on Instagram, so be sure to go and enter.
My husband and I decided last minute that we should visit Spring City and I'm so glad we did. We dropped the kids off at grandma's and headed down to Spring City.
Spring City is one of the few places in the US where the ENTIRE town is on the National Historic Register. During the Celebration, locals open up their historic homes and you can walk through them.
Seriously, I couldn't get enough of these amazing homes. As you can tell by the large amount of photos.
I love old homes though. I love how they used all sorts of different stones and techniques. Nothing like the beige world we live in now.
Spring City is justly named because it actually HAS a natural water spring and you can totally drink and buy the water too.
We biked through town the night before and even though I was 4 months pregnant it was totally doable.
Seriously, the houses! So many beautiful homes in such a tiny town.

Be sure to visit the Old Spring City School for the antique show!
Many of the actual home owners are there during the celebration and it's always fun to find out the history of the homes. You can tell the city takes a lot of pride in their history.

You may not know this, but Spring City is full of artists! Don't forget to see the local art show too. Last year it was at the Old Spring City School, as was the antique show.

We got lunch at the main church on the lawn and while there are a few restaurants in town, they fill up fast!
I bet there was over 20 homes and we easily walked to 95% of them. Some of the homes get a long line, so you might have to wait for a few minutes.

Be sure to stop and visit some of the shops on main street. Like these handcrafted chairs! There's also some local pottery and crafts as well. Be sure to stop by and get some Mom's Stuff Salve.
Be sure to go and enter our giveaway for tickets and a gift basket on Instagram!
