COLOSSEUM - Utahs NEWEST Party Spot

I really tried to prepare early for this birthday (I'm not the best planner). Every Sunday leading up to the big day, I would ask Locke what he wanted to do for his birthday. We would throw around ideas and he would say he was going to think about it.

Well, I am SO glad we didn't lock something in early, because Colosseum just opened in Davis County at the Layton Hills Mall. They have some pretty unique activities that the kids had never tried before so it was settled, a week before his 16th birthday we booked a party and sent out text invites because 2021.

They also have a mobile option, where the party comes to YOU!

We met at our house and carpooled over to the mall. It was a Wednesday night, so it wasn't too busy, but the place was definitely hoppin' when we arrived. Be sure to check out our instagram highlights under "colosseum" for more behind the scenes of all the cool activities.

The kids jumped right into playing and didn't stop until I made them come eat pizza. They all loved the hatchet/axe throwing. This was super unique because each team had an tablet to keep score. You can pick different games to play and change the background. It's basically axe throwing meets bowling. The kids loved it.

Each cage was closed off so each team had their own target.

These are the tablets with the score board.

Another activity they loved was the archery. It was basically a scene out of hunger games up in here. Each kid for them self.

I asked after, and this activity got the most votes for favorite of all. The laser tag won by a landslide and I'll tell you why. The guns! They are amazing quality, the kid loved how heavy they were and how you have to reload ammo and they shake when they fire. I didn't get to play this one, so you'll have to take their word for it. I 100% trust their opinion since these kids are basically professional fun seekers.

After all the fun, we fueled up on pizza and donuts, traditional party food in our family. We did a build your own donut bar and the teens loved it. No one took the premade donuts. But maybe thats because they were covered in wax from the candles? lol

Happiest 16th Locke! And thank you Colosseum for hosting us and for building such an epic party destination! My 10 year old is already begging to return with his friends.

If you are looking for an awesome family night, date night, youth activity, company team building or birthday party, be sure to check these guys out.
