Did you know that Utah's first State Capital was in Fillmore Utah?

We were passing through Fillmore and saw a sign for the Statehouse so we decided to stop and check it out. I'm so glad we did!

The museum is only $1 for kids $2 for adults. We were on a time crunch so we rushed through it in about 10 minutes, but the attendant said that most people take about an hour to get through the self guided tour.

The hall of photographs of local founders was my favorite. So much history in one place.

Then each room was filled with the history of the town and tells the story of why the capital was moved to Salt Lake City.

This is a great stop off I-15 to break up a road trip!
